Guest guest
Good Day Brothers and Sisters, Its Thursday, 8th October 2009 The Dynamics of Anger Anger, like jealousy and envy corrodes the very vessel that holds it So why do we get angry and How do we recover from the losses that occur during its reign? Its said that Anger is the a sign of weakness ... when you give in to your animal instinctts and forego reason, that most civilising human quality or at least what differentiates us from the animals ... But, are we really different from the animals or is it merely a matter of Grade ...?? Don't animals get angry?? Come to think of it .. I don't think I've ever seen an animal getting angry or pissed off at the way things work .... or don't work Fear and Survival sums up their total existence ... Find a source of food and protect it and oneself .. That's it .. All their behaviour stems from these two instincts ... So, Does that make animals better than us Humans?? (Boy, that would be humiliating .... and a lesson well learnt if True) But I digress ... Our anger stems from a sense of injustice ... Correction - Our anger stems from a sense of perceived injustice Perceptions - They rule us .. Much as we would like to believe that we make our own Fate, It is our perceptions that dictate everything for us ... From the daily mundane decisions to ground breaking resolutions to even WARS (Anyone remember WMD as the reason for the Iraq War?) But today we are focussing on the dynamics of Anger ... PERCEPTIONS can be left for another time ... or in every thing that we discuss and relate to ... Anger is also said to be momentary madness ... Madness stems from absence of reason .. So if our reasoning momentarily deserts us, we become angry .... actually, we become vulnerable to influences that forces our passion to our head and makes us take decisions or actions that are reactionary rather than a well thought out response ..... There .... We've done it ... We found the source of anger ... If absence of reason is the reason for anger, then, logically speaking, if we could in that moment hold on to reason, we have anger on a leash .... And we are not talking about a puppy here .. nor even a wolf ... ANGER is a full blown Royal King of the jungle that we hold at bay ... at out beck and call ..... Imagine that ... A Lion ... A full grown Male Lion waiting at heel for a command from you to attack rather than you acting from fearing it .... The tables are turned and You are the Master And Suddenly Life takes on a whole different colour ... So, How do we keep this beast from overpowering us?? Lets have your personal responses to this I'll post your responses in the forthcoming articles and we can all be enriched from each others experiences and opinions and knowledge On that cheerful Note, Enjoy your weekend,Author - Rahul D (bruntno1 ) ------------ --------- --------- --------- --------- ----Your comments and feedbacks always welcome ..
