There may be one or two details missing e.g. the Shanti Ashram in California is only in use for short time every year hence we do not have details about it. I think there are about 16 ashrams in the USA and only one in the UK (at Bourne End). Some centres have more than one place of activity San Francisco Centre has Olema, Lake Tahoe and Berkley. The New York Ramakrishna Vivekananda Centre has links with another centre in Florida etc. Details can be seen at http://www.vivekananda.btinternet.co.uk/home.htm Also some more information about these centres is at http://www.vivekananda.btinternet.co.uk/resources.htm If any list member has any information that can be added to the site please let us know. It will be good if any member can provide us with the names of the Swamis at each of these centres (and their email addresses). This would be a useful resource to have on our website. jay

Guest guest
hi anna, i've seen the recent post on karma. my query: i like to spend my free time in chanting datta nama, reading spiritual books, and satsanga over internet like this!. my mother though is devoted, scolds me not to take much interest in spiritual affairs,i get angry when someone obstruct my practices. even though i spend only 1/2-1 hr in morning/evening,my mother says " enough of it,u sat for long time! " ,whenever i sit for japa/stotra pathana etc,in the midst of it i get angry,i try to control many times, but sometimes i reply back harshly. what should i do? regards, sandeep
