hi devotees,

please participate in the poll posted in our group.

 

 

The route to Ponnambalamedu is

Kottayam-kumali-Vandipperiyar-Uppupara(pulmedu)-Ponnambalamedu.

 

 

Up to kumaly one can go by any vehicle.From Kumali to

Uppupara only Jeep or some KSRTC busses

available.(during season a lot of devotees using this

path to sabarimala,because Uppupara to sabarimala

there is no hikes like neelimala,so very easy to

treck).

 

Near Uppupara there is a place called Kochupamba from

there a Jeep road (maintained by KSEB) is leading to

Ponnambalamedu.This road has a dead end after 4 km at

a place called " A point " .From this place one have to

treck about 1.5 km(one and a half km) to the spot

where the old temple and

the makarajyothi believed to be appeared .
