dear abhishekji

as mentioned in my previous mail in this group, i have closed the

thread on round ek mukhi and my future posts will only be on sharing

and learning the subject of rudrakha in general.

as regards higher mukhis finding no mention in scriptures, my

objective is only to learn from the other learnt researchers if they

came across any references. i requested for this information in a

humble manner admitting that i failed in finding such, after doing

enough homework. of course any thing that is available in the world

will be traded or made available at a price and no one has any

problem with that. my only interest is to learn or know references

of the higher mukhis viz. 15 and above mukhis.

as regards prices, we are living in a market driven world scenario

where market dynamics viz. demand supply gap come to force.

rudraksha have gained popularity all over the world and hence

naturally all kinds of rudraksha will be available in the market at a

price.

it would be prudent on the part of all of us if we desist discussing

price matters as it create misunderstandings among the members.

with best wishes and blessings

Rudraksha Collections in this world. I fully concur with your

hypothesis that Higher Mukhis (commonly read as 15-21 mukhis) have no

scriptural reference & if i may add material utility. But you may

agree that modern life is not lead out of a textbook. So if nature

produces certain special beads & if they fall in the hands of

traders,, they shall be traded...

today's standard.., one can safely say, not hot at all. If i have my

facts right a Siddha Mala of so called collector giant beads costed

Rs 12,000 in 1998. Today it would be around Rs 2,00,000 (wholesale)

for the same bead quality. But these are market trends & one has to

consume the same, abeit with a pinch of salt.

a collector, i have come across many a wannabe Round One Mukhi's, but

i can state it to be an absolute fact that none measured up as

genuine one mukhi. Infact most of the reputed dealers maintained that

they have never seen a genuine round one mukhi, what to say of

trading in one.
