Hindus & Buddhists eat meat!??

Dear All,

 

This is the question that shocked me when I moved to Asia in 1966.

Before that I had the naive idea that Hindus and Buddhists were ALL

vegetarians. It was a shock to find out otherwise.

 

In Padma Purana is stated:

 

praninam mrityubhirunam mamsaishcarmaprasevikam/

purayitva dhruvam yati narakam papamanavah//

 

" Filling the stomach with the flesh of others scared of death such

sinful person goes to hell for sure! "

 

But now I'm used to the facts of life. In fact I know some vegetarians

who are bad people and visa versa.
