Guest guest
Likable OR despicable, their siddhanta (siddha-anta) is advaitavaad or monism, which is almost the same as buddhism. What Advaita-vadin call " shunya " the Buddhists call " nirvan " . In both cases they deny the eternal existence of God as a person, so they are nastik (atheistic) in essence. In fact, if a person tells me they are Hindu, I ask, OH! Are you dvaitavadin (dualism) or advaitavadin (monism) - and in many cases have no idea what kind of Hindu they are. They do have bhakti rus but not all of them. One aghori I met many years back was a Naga. Not sure if he can be accounted for an aghori since they dont wear left over clothing of dead but he was very soft spoken and civil which is rather rare for an aghori. > > Kularnava tantra states that success is granted by the same elements that bring about downfall and also states that if moving around naked gave siddhis all dogs and donkeys would be siddha purushas. I think it has a rich philosophy but perhaps not for every one. Either the idiots or the wisest would go for them. > > I believe its a good read and was documented for modern civilization by Sir Richard Woodroofe and published by Motilal Banarsidas. > > Hope not to have offended any one this time > > best, > > Jay >
