Chirmi beads are considered very lucky from ancient times. Chirmi seeds are found in the forests of Aravali Hills, Rajasthan. They symbolize Goddess Lakshmi and it is said that the wearer is blessed with wealth, prosperity and harmony. It is commonly said that the beads select their owner and will never stay with an unlucky person. These seeds are used to ward off evil, bring good luck and ward off physical harm. These are considered very powerful in Hinduism. These naturally grown beads are found in forest of aravali mountains, India and are believed to be many hundred years old. It is said the bead itself will choose its owner and will not stay with an unlucky person. Since the goddess of wealth, mahalaxmi, stay near to these beads they should be kept in lockers, money safe, cash box, altar, handbag, and purse. You can also keep these beads in pocket also to get same effect. They bring luck and ward off evil and black magic, and.protect the wearer from physical harm by taking the abuse upon themselves. Often these are not easy to find and as a common practice many fake items are sold in the name of chirmi by many websites and sellers. Guest guest
Hi Rajiv, Thanks for the tip. Sounds very interesting. How do you wear the seeds? Do they have a drilled hole and strung on a mala? Do they have a natural hole? Should they be worn on the body? Or kept in the temple in one's home? How to identify the genuine Chirmi Seeds? What are the indications of bogus seeds? Much appreciated! NOTE: Anyone who wants to criticize Mr Rajiv for recommending a supplier of Chirmi Seeds, as commercial and selfish, let me say first that you are a jerk, and your black-post will not be approved. The purpose of this group is to uncover the truth and also sources of Hindu natural sacred objects. All genuine suppliers please speak up. Your information is most welcome here. Prabhu Chimi beads comes in three colours namely black, red and yellowish white. They dont have natural hole but some people drill a hole in that and make a mala. Once we cut open the bead from the centre, it is found to having soft portion inside like a sprouted pulse. The black beads are rare and I would recommend to use 28 Nos. seeds in a silver box. Guest guest
Prabhu Shaligram Shala Ji Hare Krishn I read your mail with a great interest. Prabhu, I would like to know a couple of thkngs about these Chirmi seeds. (1) Does Lakshmee live nearby any specific color beads, for example red or black or white; or all colors have the same effect? (2) The secong thing is, that how many seeds., minimum, should be kept to notice some effect. And which is the best place to keep it? If it is the pocket, and as you advice to keep them in a silver box, it is difficult to keep the box in the pocket. Then how exactly they sould be kept and where? (3) The third thing, Is there any other process required to invoke Lakshmi Jee in those beads besides sprinkling some sandal paste on them reciting " Om Shri Mahalakshymaye Namah " 7 times, maybe in front of of Lakshmi Ji's idol. Please advice on above points. Thanks, With regards Sushma > --- On Mon, 2/3/09, Shaligram Shala <shaligram8 wrote: > Shaligram Shala <shaligram8 > Re: Re: Chirmi Seeds (Lakshmi Devi) > sacred-objects > Monday, 2 March, 2009, 12:31 PM > > Hare Krishna Prabhu Richardji,, > Please accept my best wishes, all glories to Sri Guru and Gauranga, all glories to all the devotees of the Lord. > > The Chirmi beads are naturaly grown beads are found in forest of Aravali Mountains, India and are believed to be many hundred years old.
