Guest guest
People say " such a good stone " - but all our gems are like that. And the educated people are ready to pay the high price. People who pay " cheap " get junk. No need to doubt. The RI is near 1.74-5 and it's Singly Refractive when tourmaline is DR. The same family gem as Gomeda, viz., grossular garnet - from Kenya. We can prove our goods, but can you prove your money? Give me the optical and physical value please... Guest guest
Ah! A fellow Gemologist. I'm GIA Graduate 1983. I deal in exceptional gems set in my own futuristic designs in numbered and certified hand-made originals. We have 6 retail locations in Bangkok, the center of the gem industry. Someone will bring us 1,000 rubies lot and we examine every gem and find one or two that are amazing and perfect. Of course we must pay much more to cream the crop as we do. But our clients, who number over 14,000, appreciate our quality. It's funny but, "for high-class people "cheap" is a low-class word, yet, for "low-class" people "cheap" is a high-class word. People looking for "cheap" are NOT looking for the BEST. And people after the best are not looking for cheap.Y/s,Richardwww.agt-gems.comRichard Shaw Brown, PGMusician, Designer, Gemologist & Authorwww.richardshawbrown.com--- On Sat, 13/6/09, florianlegoff2000 <florianlegoff2000 wrote:florianlegoff2000 <florianlegoff2000 Re: Great Tsavorite - 3.07 ctssacred-objects Date: Saturday, 13 June, 2009, 12:46 AM if i ask you this it's because i'm gemmologist and i work in a internationnal laboratory.. . not because i want to buy... when you buy a stone you don't buy a name but a quality! people who don't know buy high price and sell high price! me i buy cheap price because it's the price i want to give for this material and i sell cheap price also! a 1,5ct tsavorite(with small natural inclusion not visible without magniction glass, from tanzania!) i buy not that price that i can see on internet wich is IN-CRE-DI-BLE. .. i'm on the gemstone market place so i can wait for my price! what is your job and what kind of stone are you selling? sacred-objects, "Richard Shaw Brown" <rsbj66 wrote: > > People say "such a good stone" - but all our gems are like that. Guest guest
Haha!!! Right Amit! I have rich clients if I say a piece is cheap they will scorn it. They only respect expensive. And truly clean gems are very expensive. Like an example: My company looks through every stone in a 100 ruby lot. They want to sell the 100 pcs whole lot. But my buyer finds only one or two rubies that are " good " and then we have to pay a much higher than " lot price " . We don't have a market for the 98 rubies that are bad (like other jewelers always sell called " bluff stones " ). That transfers to the end user. And rich people don't respect anything that is " cheap " . But they also don't want to over-pay. So they are sophisticated to be our clients since publication of my first gemology book in 1975. Now we have almost 15,000 clients world-wide. Each with a certified and Numbered talisman that is good (Anukul) to strengthen in the native's chart. That doesn't mean we don't have pieces under $1000..!? No, that's not the case, as we do have so-called cheap pieces, but most of our clients prefer " expensive " serious talismans with museum-quality gems. Like the perfect 3.07 carats Tsavorite.
