Important & Unimportant in Gemology

According to some " brahmanas " or Pandits, following is list of unimportant and

important factors on gems propounded...

 

UN-IMPORTANT:

1) Gem is REAL?

2) Gem is Jyotish quality?

3) Gem is for GOOD planet?

4) Gems be PROVEN to possess or not possess " powers " ?

 

MOST-IMPORTANT:

1) Gem MUST weight an exact carat, I mean ratti, I mean carat, no ratti,

specific weight (or was that carat!??).

2) Gem MUST touch on the skin (even though it doesn't touch on the planet).

3) Gem must be worn on correct finger and hand (pendants are powerless). -

People without any hands are out-of-luck hopeless.

4) Must be set in correct metal, like Iron, or the gem is powerless (in spite of

gems having powers or not having " powers " unprovable).

 

So, basically, you might get prescribed a gem for a BAD planet, in cheap-junk

quality, that is phony (like cultured pearl), and THEN you DO the MOST-IMPORTANT

things. RIGHT?
