A well known incident is that we all know that KartavIryArjuna was a great devotee of Lord Datta. He was born crippled, but on showing extreme devotion to Datta, he got several boons. One of them was getting 1000 hands when he required them. Another one was to be reminded of the right path (dharma) when he strayed away from it. He also prayed to Lord Datta that whenever someone lost something (a thing like what you did), if the person prayed to him (KartaViryArjunA), that person should get the lost item back. We know of the first two boons as we read it multiple times during the year especially when we do anaghA vratam. The 3rd boon about the lost item is not very well known. Datta was pleased with KArtavIryArjunA's devotion and granted Him all the boons. Hence, being a Datta devotee, I suggest that you pray to Sri.KArtavIryArjunA about your stolen ring.
