The "Tavern" of the 'drunks"

Countryboy is always there at Shamrock4ever Inn!

The Mystic "brew" from the canefield/cornfield still will not take you to the "Tavern"!

The hummingbirds will always get their honeydew of nectar!

The cucoos of spring are not "nuts"!

The clouds will change their names and forms

The capitalist will always go on a "venture"!

The plantation loves the "status quo"! Only characters and personalities change!

I "fell" to body consciousness or as they say in the old world! Welcome to Babylonia!

I "nolonger" live in "spiritConsciousness"!

The scientist "prove" I "nolonger" exist when I am dead! The "burden of proof" is on him.

I believe I am alive at the "Tavern of the Drunks"! Nobody is awake to "prove" it!

Who claim they are Krishna Conscious?

Who claim they are Christ Conscious?

Who claim they are Buddha Conscious?

Who claim they are Allah Conscious?

Syama

From Bob Holman & Margery Snyder, your Guide to Poetry

With these daily poem mailings, we’ve just completed Poetry Guide Bob Holman’s Short List of Poems Everyone Should Know—so the last week of National Poetry Month will be devoted to Poetry Guide Margy Snyder’s choices of essential poems. Enjoy!

#214, Emily Dickinson

“I taste a liquor never brewed —â€Yes, Bob already cited one of Emily’s most famous poems (#249, “Wild Nights — Wild Nights!â€), but I simply cannot leave this one out, because it so perfectly contains its ecstasy in 12 short and lovely lines.
