Guest guest
Om Namah Shivaya Dear Shiva Bhaktas, I have a question regarding daily japa of Gayatri and Om Namah Shivaya. Should they be done at different times of the day ? Can they be done one after another for example one mala of Gayatri followed by couple of malas of Panchakshari ? Is there a certain order to be followed or it does not matter ? Should japa be done before offering milk to Shivji or after ? I don't know how much these things matter but just curious. regards, Om Namah Shivaya
Guest guest
Hello Shailendraji, All I know about Gayatri Mantra is, that it is most beneficial to chant in the morning when sun is rising, it gives less benefit while chanting in noon time and more less beneficial when chanted in night time. But panchakshri mantra can be recited any time. If you want to chant in the morning, I guess you should chant Gayatri Mantra before and then Panchakshri Mantra. Gayatri Mantra gives Light(Ojas-Tej) so firsh lighten yourself and then get yourself lost in Mahadev Mantra. Guest guest
Gayatri mantra and other mantras like Om Namah shivaya can be chanted anytime, we just have to make sure we are chanting with full sincereity and respect. when we chant Gayatri mantra we invoke the the deities and the highest god which is in the form of light to guide us. Same with any other mantra, when we chant we invoke the deity associated with that mantra to guide us. So anytime is good as long as we have a pure heart and a sincere devotion. God Bless, Om Nahah shivaya. Divakar. , Dhruv <dhruvitime wrote: > > Hello Shailendraji, > > All I know about Gayatri Mantra is, that it is most beneficial to chant in the morning when sun is rising, it gives less benefit while chanting in noon time and more less beneficial when chanted in night time. Guest guest
Hello, I see your questions has two sides to it. Firstly the mantra jaap that you re doing is it out of bhakti? or is it a anusthana. If you want to follow it as a discipline you have to maintain the time the place for the jaap. It is recommended that the same rosary not be used for different mantras. If it is out of bhakti, you are free to sing to him whenever and where ever you please Best Regards, Jay Never miss an email again! Toolbar alerts you the instant new Mail arrives. Check it out.
