Guest guest
dear shivbhakts om namo bhagawate rudraya it is sad to see the footage on local television channels in andhra pradesh that the famous jogulamba temple at alampur has been completely submerged in floodwaters. shivbhakts may remember that this temple is one of the ashtadasa sakthi peethams in the country and adishankaracharya had installed a srichakra at this temple during his days. however, muslim invaders destroyed this temple and since then the idol was kept in a nearby temple. the city is also famous for the nava brahma temples and the sangameswara temple. a couple of years ago, the jogulamba temple was reconstructed with public donations and was adopted by the srisailam devasthanam. unfortunately this srisailam devasthanam (who is the owner and manager of this temple) has not done any maintenance for this temple which is why the temple is now under dirty floodwater. if rains recede, the floodwater may get drained and the sakthi peetham be cleaned and get ready again for visit by pilgrims. with best wishes and blessings pandit arjun www.rudraksharemedy.com
Guest guest
My sympathy to the people caught up in the recent floodwaters, as well as, the temples. I hope everything gets restored and cleaned soon. Blessings, Stephen
