Guest guest
Dear Suchitraji, In scientific way you can say Amarnath Shivling has been melted because of increasing heat all-over (Global Warming). And in other way you can say as you said that because it's Kalyug and so God's stepping back. dhruvsuchitra_kamath <suchitra_kamath wrote: Namaskar All,Is it true that the Amarnath Shivling has disappeared(melted). If true , do you think it is the Lord is taking a backstage as the Kaliyug advances or does it predict some more evil?ThanksSuchitra Answers - Get better answers from someone who knows. Guest guest
dear shivbhakts om namo bhagawate rudraya have just come back from amarnath pilgrimage yesterday and this was the fourteenth year in a row that i could visit this holy cave shrine in kashmir. unfortunately this year mother nature's fury is at its worst with weather testing the faith and patience of the pilgrims with incessant rains, landslides and frequent closures of the roads and approach paths. pilgrims venturing to visit amarnath may add a week of grace days extra in their itinerary as they may be held up at the base camps for several days with both the upward yatra route as well as the backward road routes to srinagar or jammu blocked for few days. as regards the fears of many shivbhakts about the reported disappearance of the shivling, here is the truth as it is: the ice lingam which forms on an elevated rock within the cave at amarnath remains forever all 365 days in the year. however, due to human intervention and growing pollution etc., the height of the icelingam varies in size. for old visitors the entire ice formation is a lingam. however, new visitors feel that only the top portion of the icelingam is the shivling and the huge mass of ice formation on the rock of one to two feet height is not the lingam. pilgrims must realise that this entire iceformation is a shivling. however, i wish to highlight the growing material human intervention within the precincts of the holy cave which is generating human and material heat thereby melting the shivling. also the two helipads are very close to the holy cave (less than 200 meters) and daily some 4 or 6 helicopters make at least 100 sorties generating lot of heat. also for the first time in amarnath history, moraribapu of gujarat has conducted a nine day long katha (satsang pravachan) at the helipad (very close to the holy cave) with all modern heat, lightings, sounds and tv coverages for full nine days thereby generating so much heat near the holy cave. besides, several shivbhakts light thousands of incense sticks within the cave and also lit camphor arathi both in morning and evening. the saving grace this year is that the amarnath shrine board did not set up any artificial ice lingam like they did last year. may lord amarnath bless all shivbhakts with best wishes and blessings pandit arjun www.rudraksharemedy.com , " suchitra_kamath " <suchitra_kamath wrote: > > Namaskar All, > > Is it true that the Amarnath Shivling has disappeared(melted). If > true , do you think it is the Lord is taking a backstage as the > Kaliyug advances or does it predict some more evil? > > Thanks > Suchitra >
