Guest guest
What the priest said is superstitious nonsense. There is only ONE God/Goddess, called many different names. How long you will live and how wealthy you will be is pre-ordained by your karma. - RAJESWARAN S/O J KUMAR Friday, January 18, 2008 1:10 AM hiiii friends i have try posting this question before i scared if it appears twotimes for give me ha...the question was;there was a priest that told my mum if at all u worship lord shivathat person will be a andi meaning that will be a poor person in lifeand some of his followers might die in early age can some one give mea good explanation with a story for a proffthe proff is for my mum acctually she is worried about me cause imfalling in love more with lord shiva day to day sometimes she criesthinking of me it really hurts mecan any one explaine to me so that i could print and show my mum whatis the really and proper things you will recive upon being lordshiva's follower Version: 7.5.503 / Virus Database: 269.19.5/1228 - Release 1/16/2008 9:01 AM
Guest guest
Lord Shiva will never lead anyone to become poor, It is upto the bhakth to decide if he wants to give up/renounce the world to attain god. People who are born with high spiritual purpose will not have any desires of this world, their sole purpose of living is to attain god realization and teach/guide others in the spiritual path. only when a person feels he is ready for that level of devotion he should take the plunge to renounce the world, and it is not necessary that everybody should become a sanyasi, we can achive lord shiva's grace by bhakti and leading a good normal life. I hope I answered your questions. In divine love, Om Namah shivaya, Divakar. --- RAJESWARAN S/O J KUMAR <sanrajrita wrote: > i have try posting this question before i scared if > it appears two > times for give me ha... > > the question was; > > there was a priest that told my mum if at all u > worship lord shiva > that person will be a andi meaning that will be a > poor person in life > and some of his followers might die in early age can > some one give me > a good explanation with a story for a proff > > the proff is for my mum acctually she is worried > about me cause im > falling in love more with lord shiva day to day > sometimes she cries > thinking of me it really hurts me > can any one explaine to me so that i could print and > show my mum what > is the really and proper things you will recive upon > being lord > shiva's follower > > ______________________________\ ____ Never miss a thing. Guest guest
SRI MAATRE NAMAHA JAI GURUDEVA DATTA My dear friend, May SADASIVA bless you in all respects. SADASIVA means The GOD always giving good only for HIS worshippers. In Bilhana Stava The Mahakavi Bilhana tells that praising Lord SADASIVA gives us PURUSHAYUSHA (Long life), ATMAVIDYA (Self realisation), AAROGYA (Perfect health), ASTATANAYA (Eight varities of children) and AKHILESHTA SIDDDHI (Fulfilling all desires). Daily rendering SIVA STOTRA like SIVAMAHIMNA STOTRA one can aviod poverty and all ill efects occures in daily life. Hence any one can render SIVA STOTRA duly worshipping Lord SIVA without any doubt and without any fear. Guest guest
Om Namah Sivaya “there was a priest that told my mum if at all u worship lord shivathat person will be a andi meaning that will be a poor person in life” I wouldn’t be surprised if that priest is a Vaisnavite fundamentalist, who hates Lord Siva and His devotees. These narrow-minded people are often extremely superstitious and haven’t got intelligence to understand the true significance of the ‘Andi Pandaram’ form of Lord Siva (in Truth Siva hasn’t got a form of His own, yet He dwells in all forms and He can take any form). Please read the following in order to understand the significance behind His ‘Andi Pandaram’ form: http://www.swami-krishnananda.org/disc/disc_97.html In truth only a spiritually enlightened (who has realised Sivam) soul can become a TRUE ‘Andi Pandaram’ (who only beg for food to maintain their material body) and that person is the richest person not only in this world but in all universes. The reason is simple, that person has reunited with the source which is the core of everything, and hence he/she becomes the owner of everything. For this reason there is a proverb in Tamil which means “a person who possess something (materials), only that belongs to him but on the other hand, a person who possess nothing, everything belongs to him.” Even the modern science declares that the foundations of the universe is not material but something formless and cannot be explained, which we Hindus call that, Paramatman (Sivam). You may wish to know even Lord Kubera (god of Wealth) took a birth in this world to become a great devotee of Lord Siva. Lord Kubera took human birth as Thiruvengadar, he was a rich merchant, who had no other interest in life except to amass wealth. He got married and begot a daughter. He was praying to Lord Siva for a son. Lord Siva Himself lay near a tank in the form of a child. Two persons took up the child and gave it to Thiruvengadar. He gave them gold. He name the child as Marudhavanar. The child worked many wonders during his childhood. His son (Lord Siva in a form of a child) was duly trained in business. Sent on a voyage once for trade with others, he returned with a shipload of dried cow dung cakes. While the son vanished, the commodity thus turned waste and there was a message that “not even broken needle (without even the eye) will accompany one when he dies.” This was a turning point in the rich man's life and he became aware that when a child is born, it brings with it nothing and while on reaching old age and dies, he will not take even a coin with him. He distributed his entire wealth among people and reached a stage when he felt even his dress was a heavy load. He became an ‘Andi Pandaram’, known by the name Pattinathar Swami , a Jnani, who had completely surrendered to Siva and went about propagating His message. He sang many songs that were full of spiritual wisdom. His body was transformed into Siva Linga form at the end of his life on earth. “some of his followers might die in early age “ True, because they become one with the Supreme Lord and are full of Divine Wisdom and immersed in Sivanandam (Eternal Divine Bliss (infinite happiness)). This world is only place for people who do not have true spiritual wisdom and run after sensual gratifications which are momentary. Great saints and sages only live in this world after God-realisation to teach others, once they feel their mission is accompanied, they abandon their material body by the grace of the Lord, why should they go through old age diseases, wait until every tooth fallen off or they become too fragile? In fact they don’t really die, they become immortal, death is only for those who want to reincarnate for sensual gratifications. “proper things you will recive upon being lord shiva's follower” Divine Wisdom (Jnana) , Sivanadam (Eternal Happiness) and Immortality (become free from miseries of birth and death). Eventually you become the richest person as you get merged with the feet of Lord who is the core of everything. What else could be greater than these? Guest guest
dear shivbhakts om namo bhagawate rudraya your query has already been answered by other shivbhakts and here is another way to look at it. brahma is the creator of all whose function is to ensure creation. vishnu is the preserver of the universe whose function is to nourish, grant all materials, wealth, wife and children, comforts and growth. shiva is the destroyer who not only destroy the mayas but also helps in getting enlightenment and come close to the god. generally, people recommend worshipping vishnu and his consort lakshmi, wealth giver, for gaining material needs. most people who worship lord shiva gets enlightnment, true knowledge and find the ways and paths to reach the god. shivapurana has many stories of how several gods, devatas, planets, kings, demons and even humans worshipped lord shiva and got worldly material benefits. shiva is also known to have accommodated parvati by presenting himself as ardhanarishwara and the puranas have many stories as to how shiva was always found in consort of parvati which is why they are called parents of the universe. in fact all girls across india, whose marriage is getting delayed are advised to worship lord shiva by offering abhishekam to a shivling and soon they get married. even at the function of marriage, the bride invariably performa gauripooja. also as a part of the marriage function, the bridegroom pretends to renounce and go for kasi (varanasi) and become a sanyasi whereafter the bride's brother requests the groom to reconsider his decision, take his sister's hand and lead a happy married life. all these things are meant to highlight the significance of parvati and lord shiva. now answering to your specific query, you can safely tell your mother that you would not become a beggar by worshipping lord shiva, rather lord shiva is referred as bholashankar and whatever you ask him, you would get it from lord shiva. with best wishes and blessings pandit arjun www.rudraksharemedy.com , " RAJESWARAN S/O J KUMAR " <sanrajrita wrote: > > i have try posting this question before i scared if it appears two > times for give me ha... > > the question was; > > there was a priest that told my mum if at all u worship lord shiva > that person will be a andi meaning that will be a poor person in life > and some of his followers might die in early age can some one give me > a good explanation with a story for a proff > > the proff is for my mum acctually she is worried about me cause im > falling in love more with lord shiva day to day sometimes she cries > thinking of me it really hurts me > can any one explaine to me so that i could print and show my mum what > is the really and proper things you will recive upon being lord > shiva's follower >
