“Fire itself has no definite shape, but as glowing embers it assumes different forms. Thus the formless fire is seen endowed with forms. Similarly, the formless God sometimes invests Himself with definite forms.â€

God is both with form (Sakara), like ice, for His Bhakta, and without form (Nirakara), like steam, for the Jnani.

 

Just as water can exist in two states, viz., Nirakara (formless) in the form of H2O, Sakara (with form) in the form of ice, so also Siva is both Nirakara (SIVAM) and Sakara (Lord Siva). He can take a form also as an Avatara.

 

Microcosm is Pinda; Macrocosm is Brahmanda. Samashti means sum-total. Vyashti means individual. A tree is Vyashti, while a grove is Samashti. A single match stick is Vyashti; a match box is Samashti. He who identifies with the macrocosmic causal body or the sum-total of all causal bodies of Jiva is Isvara. He who identifies with the macrocosmic subtle body is Hiranyagarbha or Sutratman; with the microcosmic or individual subtle body is Taijasa. He who identifies with the macrocosmic or collective gross body is Virat or Vaishvanara; and with microcosmic or individual body is Vishva. Ishvara Himself assumes the forms of Brahma, Vishnu and Rudra through Sattva, Rajas and Tamas

and becomes the creator, preserver and destroyer of the universe. Brahma is included in Virat, Vishnu in Hiranyagarbha and Rudra in Isvara.

Verse 104: Trinity--One Continuity

He, the Being First, and He, the Emerald-hued,And He of the glowing, original Lotus-seat--Are these three separate or one continuous whole?Thus the world in divisions many wrangle!

 

Verse 105: God Is One

Beyond the Two Karmas (Good and evil deeds) is Isa (Siva) seated,The seed of this world, the mighty God become;"This" and "That" is Isa--so the thoughtless contend,The dross but know the basest sediment low.

 

 

Verse 109: All Gods Are But The One Siva

It is only by the grace of Siva decked with konrai flowers,

That the celestials and the humans who are in

essence the same exist.

There is no God except He,

Our only duty is to enshrine Him in our heart.

 

Verse 112: Siva Is Jiva

In one Part, He, Sadasiva my Lord;One heavenly Part in Heaven resides;One Kingly Part, the spirit that the body heaves;One His Part to all motion transformed.
