Guest guest
Dear Friend, most of us are in the same boat! :), have faith in God and carryon, when God closes one door he will open another so lets not worry too much about what happens in future but focus on the present. " Living in the Present " is what spiritualty is about, leave the past and future to God and live the present moment. To put this principle into practice (which is the difficult part) use mantra chanting or satsang to realize god and seek his protection. And coming to the Mantra you can chant the great Ganesh Mantra " OM GUM GANAPATHAYE NAMAHA " to remove all the obstacles in the path and guide you in the path of success and prosperity (not just money but everything), you can also chant " OM NAMAH SHIVAYA " as Rahul ji has mentioned. Which ever mantra you choose you should follow with faith and you will be protected and blessed. This I can vouch from my humble life experience, Mantras are very powerful tools for spiritual and healthy materialistic growth. God Bless you, Om Namah Shivaya, Divakar --- On Wed, 3/25/09, lakshmi.krishnan41 <no_reply > wrote: lakshmi.krishnan41 <no_reply > mantra to retain the job Wednesday, March 25, 2009, 8:01 AM pranams all, i have my sister at hyderabad and her son who is a software engineer in a reputed company placed at hyderabad is in a constant fear of loosing his job.though his position is safe till september as he is working for a project, his fate is not clear after september. so can anybody tell me what mantra has to be chanted to retain the job.if he is given the pink slip he has to face too many problems in life. so i request u to give me the powerful mantra so that i can pray for him.i also request all the beloved members of this group to pray for him. thanks regards lakshmikrishnan. Guest guest
AUM Namaste :Mantras are generally not for this purpose, there are some that can be used in this way but they require specific sadhanas that have particular rules to be followed meticulously for them to work. Also, in this particular economic climate if the company is not doing well and needs to cut costs, no matter what mantra you recite; they will have to cut costs and if he happens to be one of those costs, he WILL lose his job. Further, we ALL have troubles to deal with but in many cases are unwilling to do those things that guarantee our success. We silently hope that GOD will somehow or the other feel sorry for us and solve our problems ! This is the wrong approach to take, God will assist and intervene ONLY where we cannot act for ourselves (if we are deserving and in keeping with our Karma)We also tend to make the excuse that we are too busy, really ?We can be so busy that if we do not pay attention and take care of the things that are important to our lives, when we encounter bad circumstances we normally have all the time in the world to deal with them.....(e.g. loss of health, job, income etc..) !So what do we do ? I suggest the following:Firstly FEAR or negative thoughts is NOT what he has to concentrate on. This only creates confusion in the mind and robs the mind of vitality, which will only lead one to do things that will probably bring about what is feared most !So how do we deal with fear ? The very first idea that we NEED to be conscious of is thatFEAR is the very thing that brings about our misery by us not being able to THINK clearlyand effectively. We must learn the art of "Thinking on our feet", to deal with present challenges. Where there are circumstances beyond our control, we need to think of solutions and alternatives to survive. Our habits (physical and mental) are generally what determines our success or failure.Lord Shiva is pure consciousness, one of his lessons is that we need to focus on reducing impurities of mind, development of intelligence and consciousness to combat our problems.. The Abhaya Mudra that Lord Shiva displays is for dispelling of fear, this should be concentrated upon when doing Manas Puja. There are several things should be done in the following categories:1) DIET * Avoid oil and fried food as much as possible * Avoid foods that are HIGH in sugar and salt * Avoid non-veg foodExplanation :Non-veg foods promotes toxins in the system which brings about lethargy and ehnanced feelings of fear and confusion. Oily and fried foods only add to the toxic load in the arteries and liver which causes poor circulation over time. Foods that are high in salt and sugar affect the blood pressure and can cause moods swings. The idea is to create a diet thatis balanced that enables one to function optimally at ALL times, raw foods ( fruits and vegetables, nuts etc.) and lightly cooked foods promote this. * try to ensure that the food being taken has a balance of vitamins and minerals to enable the body to function properly. * Take herbs that heal the body (in adequate dosages) and promote mental balance e.g. Turmeric, Neem (antiseptic, antibiotic properties) Gotu Kola and Ginko Biloba (Brain foods) Tulasi - Nervine2) METHODS OF PHYSICAL PURIFICAITONThroat CleansingA soft strip of clean cloth is soaked in warm water (Measurements of cloth 2†x 8â€), then inserted in the throat approximately one inch successively per day until uneasiness of having a foreign object in the throat is gone. This promotes easier breathing and removes excess phlegm.Caution: Cloth should not be removed quickly as inner tissue may be damaged.EnemaCoat a soft plastic tube (6†long x ½†diameter) with butter to make it soft, sit in a tub with clean water and insert the tube into anus. Penetration should be no more than two inches, contract sphincter muscle and pull water inside, shake and expel it. Rub the stomach in a circular motion and repeat until faecal matter is expelled. The lower intestinal tract is cleansed.Caution: Balance properly as slipping on the tube can cause internal injury.Nasal/Sinus CleansingBlock the right nostril and inhale water in left nostril then expel water through right nostril. Repeat two more times and reverse nostril to right and repeat process three more times. Next, inhale water and expel it through the mouth which has the effect of clearing nasal passages, removing build up of dust, and bacteria. This stimulates the nervous system and increases eyesight.Abdominal ExerciseLeaning forward with hands on knees and feet apart, breathe out. Contract abdominal muscles pulling them up and inside, rotate muscles right to left as fast as is possible (increase the speed as you gain proficiency), breathe in after rotation and repeat up to 10 times. This stimulates the nervous system and reduces disorders caused by mucus.Breathing ExerciseScrape tongue clean, and stick out in fresh air for a few minutes then breathe in and out quickly and evenly, stop when strain is felt. This destroys diseases caused by phlegm.Eye Cleansing ExerciseTrataka is the yogic practice of concentrated gazing with eyes fixed on a point without blinking until tears flow. Close eyes and visualize the after image until it vanishes. A picture of one's chosen spiritual ideal is suitable. This aids one in achieving concentration.3) Religious / SpiritualEvery day for about 1/2 - 1 hour, let him dedicate this time for the following activities: * Maintain firm faith in his guru and Ishta Devata * At a minimum, perform Panchopchara Puja (offering of five articles- Aarti, Incense, Scent, Chandan and Naivedya (fruits)4) Mental Exercises * RELAX - when the mind is relaxed and clear it functions optimally and stimulates creativity. * Learn to be silent, sit quietly and mentally focus on the space between the in breath and out breath. Concentrate only on the sound of AUM, this takes some time to master but over time you will be able to do this quiet easily. The idea is to remove the multitude of thoughts and to bring the mind to a point of focus.5) TIPS TO AID SUCCESS Casually ask family members, friends and work associates (be careful here) things they like and don't like about you. Sit quietly and be brutally honest with yourself, identify those things which are both positive and negatives about yourself, then think of how you can change those negative things to be positive and how you can use those positive things to leverage your position. Prioritize these and make sure and work on it daily ! e.g Lies, deceit, cunningness with the intention of causing harm to others etc. Everyday one should * Make a daily plan of activities and identify the important projects that one needs to accomplish(in a minimum of time). Be realistic., you can do this at least mentally if you do not have the time to write it out. * Set clear, specific goals and objectives and make sure you complete them, at the very least 80% of what you set out to do should be completed EVERYDAY. * Focus on problem solving, not complaining and expecting somebody else to solve the problem, think of a solution. A simple methodology is to look at a large complex problem and to isolate the smaller components of the problem, e,g Economics, social constraints, technology etc. * Try to see situations/problems from different angles, look for opportunity.Ok this is a brief outline of how I propose we deal with this, you can feel free to add or substract as necessary however it is most important to remain focused and DEAL with what you can, the rest leave it up to Bhagavan Shiva.Aum--- On Wed, 3/25/09, Rahul Sharma <toneyrahulsharma wrote:Rahul Sharma <toneyrahulsharmaRe: mantra to retain the job Date: Wednesday, March 25, 2009, 5:45 AM My Friend Why do we worship or pray to the god only in Bad times if we do it in all time then do you think we end up in Bad time?? Guest guest
In an ideal environment all these are very good to do and follow, what is in need immediately is a way to get a connection to the divine and build faith so that we do not worry about our day to day lives. Mantras will not get our job back or bring the drowning companies back, the dieties associated with the mantras when invoked will guide us in the path of love and success, there are limitations in human thinking and perception but there is no limitation in divine perception, In Gods kingdom there is abundnce, Things change in life, that is how the universe is created, In this turmoil people need divine guidance and that is obtained by any sadhana or bhakti. Mantra chanting or sadhana is simpler because that can be done at any time ofcourse there will be some hardships but for the one who believes in god everything is taken care of. It is a misconception that mantras have to be practiced only in strict sadhana, this misconception keeps people away from this wonderful tool, that is the biggest problem with hinduism all wondeful related to spirituality became complicated. as long as our bhakti is sincere we can chant simple mantras to find our connection to god and overcome our difficulties. Guest guest
That was well said sir. Mantras are just one of communication with God. If we are filled with Bhakti and faith we can handle everything that happens around us. At the same time we have remember that things happen according to Dieva Sankalpam and Prarabdha Karma. (As you sow and so you reap). Abiding in the self and leading a pious life will take us closer. "Only in quiet waters things mirror themselves undistorted. Guest guest
I think that maybe mantra help to dissolve problem little by little? or the mantra increase the power of what you are thinking in that moment? It does both ! Which is why we need to be careful of our thoughts. When one is in distress it is at this time that one should pray offering the problem up to Bhagavan Siva, however to consciously continue to focus on negatives and problems will only intensify our frustrations. If the mantra becomes activated while one is focusing on negatives, it WILL bring about this reality, hence the need for the caution and complication. This is a science of sound energy which does not take into account one's emotion or weaknesses, it acts how it is supposed to regardless of consequences (good or bad) to an individual.I will tell all of you one little secret I have discovered though. Before and After Chanting it would be wise to sincerely pray asking for forgiveness for mistakes of thought, word or deed by omission or commission and asking for guidance and protection from Bhagavan Siva.Little by little the mantra will begin to work on the mind, what you will notice is that you may sometimes become very angry easily - this is repressed emotion coming to the surface of your conscious mind. Do NOT focus on it, it will only create more problems for you and dissipate your sadhana, allow the thoughts to pass before concentrating on the mantra.A simple trick is when these negative arise in your mind, think a positive thought or try to be aware and just let it go. Then shortly after resume chanting your mantra.. --- On Fri, 3/27/09, actionforsoul <actionforsoul wrote:actionforsoul <actionforsoulRe: Re: Mantra to retain the job Date: Friday, March 27, 2009, 12:09 AM if someone has a lot of problem, bad thoughts, depressione etc it's right to mantra with the difficult to concentrate on mantra and with all problems which comes in mind continuosly? This promotes easier breathing and removes excess phlegm.Caution: Cloth should not be removed quickly as inner tissue may be damaged.EnemaCoat a soft plastic tube (6†long x ½†diameter) with butter to make it soft, sit in a tub with clean water and insert the tube into anus.. Contract abdominal muscles pulling them up and inside, rotate muscles right to left as fast as is possible (increase the speed as you gain proficiency) , breathe in after rotation and repeat up to 10 times. * Try to see situations/problems from different angles, look for opportunity.Ok this is a brief outline of how I propose we deal with this, you can feel free to add or substract as necessary however it is most important to remain focused and DEAL with what you can, the rest leave it up to Bhagavan Shiva.Aum--- On Wed, 3/25/09, Rahul Sharma <toneyrahulsharma@ > wrote: Rahul Sharma <toneyrahulsharma@ >Re: [om_namah_shivaya_ group] mantra to retain the jobom_namah_shivaya_ group@ s.comWednesday, March 25, 2009, 5:45 AM My Friend Why do we worship or pray to the god only in Bad times if we do it in all time then do you think we end up in Bad time?? Guest guest
With due respects I want to disagree on "God Tests us" principle, There is a different compassionate school of thought which says that we suffer because of our karma (current and past), and its the mind or ego which causes all the illusions, when we follow the ego we suffer more. God (in whichever form) is always full of compassion, he will provide guidance for anyone who looks up to him, it is up to the individual to take the guidance, correct himself, control the ego or tame the mind using different sadhana, and move on spiritual path with unwavering faith and conviction. In Divine Love, Om Namah Shivaya, Divakar. --- On Fri, 3/27/09, bhatnagar_shailendra <bhatnagar_shailendra wrote: bhatnagar_shailendra <bhatnagar_shailendra Re: Mantra to retain the job Date: Friday, March 27, 2009, 9:43 AM om_namah_shivaya_ group@ s.com, Dev Maharaj <dev_maharaj@ ...> wrote:>> I do not doubt that if a person has earned Bhagavan Siva's grace that he or she maybe entitled to a little special treatment but that is the exception and not the norm ! This is the wrong approach to take, God will assist and intervene ONLY where we cannot act for ourselves (if we are deserving and in keeping with our Karma)We also tend to make the excuse that we are too busy, really ?We can be so busy that if we do not pay attention and take care of the things that are important to our lives, when we encounter bad circumstances we normally have all the time in the world to deal with them.....(e. g. loss of health, job, income etc..) !So what do we do ? Contract abdominal muscles pulling them up and inside, rotate muscles right to left as fast as is possible (increase the speed as you gain proficiency) , breathe in after rotation and repeat up to 10 times. Guest guest
Namaste DivakarajiGod (in whichever form) is always full of compassionBe extremely careful of the disease ( where supposedly Holy men say things to sound divine and all nicy nice and others who follow them repeat these things without thinking about its practicality or reality ! )If God all ALWAYS full of compassion and ready to provide guidance, can you explainhow come 80 -100 million Hindus, were murdered ( not to mention relieved of their lands, raped, tortured and robbed of their wealth) in India over the last thousand years ?Don't you think Most if not ALL of these Hindus were praying daily and seeking guidance ?How about the millions that starve around the Globe daily ?As a recipient of one of Bhagavan Siva's lessons (lasting 7 years ), which is not my opinion but that of many psychics. Let me tell you of a lesson that I learned in meditation, in order to get pure gold the metal must be dipped in fire repeatedly until ALL of the impurities have been eradicated. God is not always pleasant sometimes very hard lessons are taught and the sadhaka IS TESTED repeatedly to ensure you have learned those lessons. something everyone should always be conscious of !--- On Fri, 3/27/09, praveen gudimetla <prav_gudi wrote:praveen gudimetla <prav_gudiRe: Re: Mantra to retain the job Date: Friday, March 27, 2009, 8:48 PM mantra is sada sivoham....Thanks & Regards,Praveen GudimetlaTransform yourselves and the era will be transformedPt.Sriram Sharma Acharya--- On Sat, 28/3/09, Divakara Tanjore <div_tan > wrote: Divakara Tanjore <div_tan >Re: [om_namah_shivaya_ group] Re: Mantra to retain the jobom_namah_shivaya_ group@ s.comSaturday, 28 March, 2009, 2:13 AM With due respects I want to disagree on "God Tests us" principle, There is a different compassionate school of thought which says that we suffer because of our karma (current and past), and its the mind or ego which causes all the illusions, when we follow the ego we suffer more. Guest guest
Namaste Maharajji, Thank you for your kind advice, I have provided my answers, Also it will be great if you can share some useful insights from your seven year hard lesson from lord shiva and your twenty year sadhana experience. The universal law of karma, the law of cause and effect and the principle of re-incarnation will explain all the calamities, atrocities that have happened, happening and going to happen in this world. meditating on these concepts will provide the answers. Karma is compounding from thousands of years or more from civilization to civilization and we are seeing that effect in our day to day life. Souls come to earth to learn and undergo karma, if certain thing has to happen because of our karma, Lord shiva will not stop it unless he feels otherwise so that we learn our lesson, that dosent mean he is testing us or his love will diminish. God has given us free will also so that we will learn and choose the right path, but unfortunately man falls into the ego trap for long. Mantra sadhana for a spiritually aware person and a normal person are different, spiritually aware person will do sadhana for taming the mind to attaining single pointedness to attain self-realization, a simple person will chant mantras to overcome fears, ill health and difficulties in life, it works in both ways. historically Mantras and chanting is used for many purposes, even christianity have chants, civilizations in the past in south America, red indian tribes in America and all over the earth do chating for guidance and healing. "kundalini tantra" of swami Sadananda Saraswathi (deciple of Swami Sivananda) suggests that mantra sadhana is easier and safer sadhana compared to different yoga sadhanas line kundalini, pranayama etc. I am a spiritual healer, I use the practices of Reiki and mantra sadhana to provide healing, I have done extensive research and practice of mantra sadhana, as a healer what I have noticed is when a normal person is depressed or in trouble or in worry they lose the divine connection, hope and purpose for life, the first thing they need is to find hope, find purpose for life and find faith to sustain, prayer and mantra chanting are the easy methods to find that divine connection and guidance. Ofcourse the path of spirituality is not easy, it is walking in the fire, when we choose the path of righteousness from the comfort path of ego we will certainly go through great hardships but it will be filled with divine love, peace and compassion. if we see the lives of great saints like Gautama Buddha, Swami Vivekanand, Yogananda, Jesus Christ, Sai Baba etc we will see that, they have faced hardship to help other people, in all the hardships they were in peace and spreading love and faith to humanity. Bhati is not overrated, bhakti is everything, it is the goal, without that we can achieve knowledge and mastery on technique but not divine grace. In Divine Love, Om Namah Shivaya, God Bess, Divakar. --- On Sat, 3/28/09, Dev Maharaj <dev_maharaj wrote: Dev Maharaj <dev_maharajRe: Re: Mantra to retain the job Date: Saturday, March 28, 2009, 6:40 AM Namaste DivakarajiGod (in whichever form) is always full of compassionBe extremely careful of the disease ( where supposedly Holy men say things to sound divine and all nicy nice and others who follow them repeat these things without thinking about its practicality or reality ! )If God all ALWAYS full of compassion and ready to provide guidance, can you explainhow come 80 -100 million Hindus, were murdered ( not to mention relieved of their lands, raped, tortured and robbed of their wealth) in India over the last thousand years ?Don't you think Most if not ALL of these Hindus were praying daily and seeking guidance ?How about the millions that starve around the Globe daily ?As a recipient of one of Bhagavan Siva's lessons (lasting 7 years ), which is not my opinion but that of many psychics. Let me tell you of a lesson that I learned in meditation, in order to get pure gold the metal must be dipped in fire repeatedly until ALL of the impurities have been eradicated. God is not always pleasant sometimes very hard lessons are taught and the sadhaka IS TESTED repeatedly to ensure you have learned those lessons. something everyone should always be conscious of !--- On Fri, 3/27/09, praveen gudimetla <prav_gudi (AT) (DOT) co.in> wrote: praveen gudimetla <prav_gudi (AT) (DOT) co.in>Re: [om_namah_shivaya_ group] Re: Mantra to retain the jobom_namah_shivaya_ group@ s.comFriday, March 27, 2009, 8:48 PM mantra is sada sivoham....Thanks & Regards,Praveen GudimetlaTransform yourselves and the era will be transformedPt.Sriram Sharma Acharya--- On Sat, 28/3/09, Divakara Tanjore <div_tan > wrote: Divakara Tanjore <div_tan >Re: [om_namah_shivaya_ group] Re: Mantra to retain the jobom_namah_shivaya_ group@ s.comSaturday, 28 March, 2009, 2:13 AM With due respects I want to disagree on "God Tests us" principle, There is a different compassionate school of thought which says that we suffer because of our karma (current and past), and its the mind or ego which causes all the illusions, when we follow the ego we suffer more. God (in whichever form) is always full of compassion, he will provide guidance for anyone who looks up to him, it is up to the individual to take the guidance, correct himself, control the ego or tame the mind using different sadhana, and move on spiritual path with unwavering faith and conviction. Guest guest
Dear Sushma ji, Reiki can be used for distance healing, but I prefer not to talk about reiki in this forum as this is focussed more on Lord Shiva and Bhakti and spritual practices. if you have questions on reiki and healing pl send to my personal id. For mantra sadhana, choose a mantra with Istha Devata in mind, I believe you are a shiv bhakt, if so obviously it will be OM NAMAH SHIVAYA or else if you like some other god choose that mantra (let me know I can help you to choose). Ideally try to sit down straight and chant the mantra in your heart using a japa mala (108 count), if you find it difficult then you can relax a bit , each mala counts 108, try to do one or a few malas in the begining. Ideally take a deeksha and chant for 40 days without a break, this will put you in the habit and you will follow this forever. do not force yourself, do it slowly and consistantly, the count adds up so after sometime you can reach the 1,25,000 goal, dont worry about the goal, if you chant daily you can reach the goal, initially it will be slow but over the period you will be chanting more and more. you can chant whenever you feel like for these common mantras, some specific mantras have to be practiced as taught by a guru in a more strict manner. The goal or count is not important, initially it will help you to organize your practice and also ensure some decipline, once you practice for some time you will understand the importance and benefits of mantra sadhana and you will start to like chanting, during the process listen to your heart, you will get divine guidance. Sincereity and bhakti are very important. Hope this helps, God Bless, Divakar. --- On Mon, 4/27/09, Sushma Gupta <sushmajee wrote: Sushma Gupta <sushmajee Re: Mantra to retain the job Date: Monday, April 27, 2009, 3:48 PM Dear Divakara JiAum Namah ShivaayaYour following mail shows that you are a spiritual healer. Guest guest
Dear Divakara Ji Aum Namah Shivaaya Thanks a lot for replying my mail. I am indeed so happy to receive your guidance in this regard. In fact nowadays I was reaing Tulasee's Raamaayan, so I found that there is no difference in Raam and Shiv, both worship each other. For a few months ago I have been worshipping Shiv and Hanumaan and reading Raam Rakshaa Stotra. Recently somebody asked my daughter to read Raamaayan 11 times. Since she has no time to read it, nor she is so proficient in reading it, so Iread it on her behalf. Although I have read it many times before but it is quite some time ago. This time when I read for 11 times, I was really touched by Tulasee's writing style. Besides I have heard that if somebody recites " Raam " name for 125,000 once then he can clean his one House in his birth chart. This means that it has a double benefit. So I thought to choose to recite " Raam " 125,000 times. If I recited it 12 times (125,000 X 12) then I could clear all my 12 Houses in my birth chart. What is your suggestion in this regard? That is why I asked you about how to do Sadhanaa of this Mantra? Saadhanaa means - do I have to observe any restriction? or do I have to observe any special rule for it? Or just I can recite, maybe some 10 Maalaa in the morning and say 10 Maalaa in the evening, or only in the morning? From your mail, it seems that there is no time limit, just do it, and do it, and do it. Please guide me. Again many thanks for your reply. Guest guest
If you olny chant RAMA or OM it will raise your energy quickly and it will have negative impact as pundit ji said, so choose a mantra like "OM RAMA RAMAYA NAMAHA" or Rama Taraka mantra for chanting. Chant slowly and increase steadyly, do not force yourself to achieve the goal, when you chant you have to feel the peace and attachment to the mantra and to the deity, you have to enjoy the chanting process or sadhana, it should not become a burden that you have finish with a target. When ever you feel heat in the body slow down and let the energy settle down for a few days before you start again. You need to do several things:1) Make sure and ALWAYS keep your head cool, after Japa it would be advisable to take a shower with cool water. Let the water run along your right side for a while.2) When you are in menstruation DO NOT do the Japa verbally but mentally.3) If you are a married woman, it would be highly advisable not to engage in martial relations during the course of Japa.4) If you observe that you are getting burning sensations (not tingling) particularly in your head - STOP the Japa for that period.5) This mantra draws a lot of electrical energy to your system, you may encounter disruptions in your menstrual cycle, nothing to worry about but you may find that you might become irritable and angry very quickly. You need to control this, whenever you feel yourself becoming angry, start breathing through your left nostril and try to remain calm.6) Eat less spicy foods as this will help you to control your anger more easily.Namah SivayaAum--- On Fri, 5/1/09, bhagvatjee <bhagvatjee > wrote: bhagvatjee <bhagvatjee >[om_namah_shivaya_ group] Re: Mantra to retain the jobom_namah_shivaya_ group@ s.comFriday, May 1, 2009, 10:51 AM Dear Divakara JiAum Namah ShivaayaThanks a lot for replying my mail. This means that it has a double benefit.> > So I thought to choose to recite "Raam" 125,000 times. If I recited it 12 times (125,000 X 12) then I could clear all my 12 Houses in my birth chart. What is your suggestion in this regard?> > That is why I asked you about how to do Sadhanaa of this Mantra? Saadhanaa means - do I have to observe any restriction? or do I have to observe any special rule for it? Or just I can recite, maybe some 10 Maalaa in the morning and say 10 Maalaa in the evening, or only in the morning? From your mail, it seems that there is no time limit, just do it, and do it, and do it.> > Please guide me.
