Dear Friends,By way of sharing some thoughts on Love and compassion, I would like to state as follows:- Love and compassion are the essential pre-requisites for success in spiritual path. All sadhanas call for love and compassion as the first and most essential step. Those

who fail to inculcate and exude love and Compassion can be said to have automatically excluded themselves from the process of inner Transformation, which is the true mastery of life. Unconditional LOve and compassion in man lifts him to Divinity. Love calls for enlarging the self, and compassion the abscence of self. In Love the other person becomes important and in compassion the object becomes the subject. For Love the antonym is hatred. Compassion does not have even synonyms. In love one becomes possessive and suffocates others. Compassion is sustained and practical determination to do whatever is possible to alleviate the sufferings of others. It treats the other person on an equal plane. There is no distinction as to race, creed, sex etc. etc. The easiest way to reach God is to have abundant compassion towards all beings. A compassionate person

transmits divinity. Compassion

is the basic human quality with which we are born. Compassion is not mere sympathy. One who sympathises sees, and feels but does nothing. One who has compassion does something about the need. It is not adequate if one is sympathetic but one should be compassionate. G.Balasubramanian Want to be your own boss? Learn how on Small Business.
