Some Queries About Mantra

Dear Shiv Bhakt

Aum Namah Shivaaya

I have a couple of questions about " Mantra " , if anyone can explain to me --

(1) It has been stressed that Mantra Jaap should be done in the heart and tat is

most powerful Mantra Jaap. While reciting it loudly it effect remains minimum.

On the other side it is said that every word or letter of a Mantra has a power

in its sound and those sound waves, when we recite those words or letters,

create the energy around us to affect us.

Now my question is if we do not recite a Mantra loudly how is it going to creat

sound effect? or how the waves will be created by the sound of those letters or

words until we recite them loudly?

(2) The second question is when we talk about Mantra recitation, people tell us

hundreds of rules or restrictions to recite them, then why are they written just

like that in Puraan or in other books without giving the proper instructions to

recite them? This is to misguide people, because when they read in Puraan that

such and such Mantra recited such and such times will give you this effect, and

it does not do so (because maybe that the recitation was not done with rules),

he becomes disappointed and loses his confidence in Mantra.

Or those books assume that whoever was reading those Puraan must have been well

versed in Mantra recitation rules?

With regards

Sushma
