Its earliest text, the Rgveda, is not its only or exclusive scripture, but is followed by a series of primary texts (prasthanas) that have addressed various existential problems and have taken diverse philosophic positions. It recognizes, the Unity of Divine, which can it says can be realized through the medium of morphic (icons, images, symbols, gods or goddesses) or through amorphic (samadhi) means. While it posits a pluralism of belief, it upholds One-ness, in which the Other is not a reality but an illusion, hence it does not recognize evil as an everlasting reality. After two millenniums Hinduism is again reaching out globally and for this reason needs to develop a fresh critique of other major faiths and civilizations. ALL ARE CORDIALLY INVITED ********************************************************************************\ ********************************************************** with best regards, Bharat Gupt Associate Professor, CVS, Delhi University, Founder member and Trustee International Forum for India's Heritage.
