I recall seeing the same data you posted about the growth of Buddhism and Hinduism in Australia...It is due to increase of immigration from India, not conversion. So does it represent GROWTH, or immmigration policies? Likewise, the 'growth' of Islam is due to huge family numbers in third world countries . They don''t represent 'conversions' or change of core beliefs....they represent 8-10 children per Muslim family in Third World countries. Guest guest
I provided the following real facts: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in_Europe http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in_Europe> And Suzanne answered: > > Once again, it depends upon what you want to rely on as your source > material, No one can deny the lost of numbers that Christianity is having in Europe, USA and Australia. Even Christian fundamentalists accept it. Why don´t you? This situation is well attested in scientific studies, such are the sources to rely on. Here is the lattest scientific survey made in USA with a great sample of 35,556 adults: http://www.usatoday.com/news/religion/2008-02-25-survey_N.htm " Based on interviews with 35,556 adults in the continental United States, it shows so much diversity and dynamism that a co-author sums it up simply. 'Churn. Churn. Churn. The biggest news here is change,' says Pew Forum research fellow Gregory Smith...Protestants are fading: 51.3% call themselves Protestant, but roughly one-third of this group were " unable or unwilling " to describe their denomination " . Guest guest
" Based on interviews with more than 35,000 American adults, this extensive survey by the Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life details the religious makeup, religious beliefs and practices as well as social and political attitudes of the American public. This online section includes dynamic tools that complement the full report. " These are the links of one of the lattest SCIENTIFIC surveys on religion in USA. It shows that Christians in USA are decreasing dramatically. http://religions.pewforum.org/ http://religions.pewforum.org/affiliations If Suzanne doubts of the scientific quality of this survey I hope she could read the full report that has 143 PAGES, see the right links at: http://religions.pewforum.org/reports?section=a4 Best regards, Carlos
