Guest guest
0398. " The moment of revelation that has occurred to many great souls can happen to you as well. Everybody is being prepared to reach this final state of dropping all worldly attachments, all ego. It must happen because that is the final stage of evolution. You cannot avoid it. Consciously or unconsciously, you may try to avoid it today, but sooner or later you are going to lose your grip on everything, possessions, wealth, body, all that you claim as your own. " - Vol.6, p16 0399. " The final destiny for all souls is the dropping away of every obstruction to peace and contentment. When that moment comes, the ego is dropped, and you won't struggle any more. You will neither protest, nor will you even pause to think whether you should let go or not. You will just bow down and surrender. Deep within, every soul is waiting for this great letting go to happen. Most people do no feel this now because their awareness is so low, but that urgency will come one day. " - Vol.6, p16 0400. [A brahmacharin asks if death is something that can be learned.] " Yes, death is an art to learn and practice. It can only be practiced if you drop your ego. It can only be learned by practicing meditation. " - Vol.6, p17 0401. " Because death is the greatest threat, the greatest fear, the greatest blow to our ego, each moment human beings try to cover up and forget this fear of death by running after the pleasures of the world. In order to avert the thought of death people want to indulge themselves and enjoy life by creating and fulfilling desires. " - Vol.6, p17 0406. " Children, learn to die in bliss. Just as you celebrate your birthday, let death and dying become a moment of great celebration and bliss. Learning to die in bliss is meditation. This can happen only if you learn to cease to cling while living. Through meditation you can exercise ceasing to cling, ceasing to grasp. Your entire life should be a preparation to die happily, for only when you have learned to be willing to face death happily can you live life happily. Because then you will realize that death, like life, is also a truth. You will realize that death is not complete annihilation, but complete freedom from the grip of ego. " - Vol.6, p19 0407. " Children, learn to accept death, welcome death, and say hello to death. Be friendly with death and death will become your friend. Once you learn to receive death, fears of all kinds disappear, and you will begin to live in real peace.
