Guest guest
Aum Namah Shivaya. This morning i was listening to the crows. A bunch of them were really making a lot of noise. From some teachers long ago who taught me that crows have a language you can learn, i knew they were dealing with a predator. Often in Wisconsin that meant an owl, but here it could only mean an eagle. I watched out our 6th floor window for awhile and sure enough an eagle rose and soared above the area where the crows were massed. Then this afternoon my teaching colleague here told me an amazing story. Seems that the tsunami wave washed completely over the Andaman Islands. An airforce base there was completely washed away, military personnel, planes, buildings, etc. However, not a single one of the members of the 3 tribes that live there was lost. Why? Because they know how to listen to the birds, and the birds warned them and they all either climbed trees or found higher ground.
