Guest guest
OM NAMAH SIVAYA so Premarupa in 'bird talk' i think Kali is a crow no?. and isn't ignorance represented by a owl. not sure about the eagle? but the bald eagle is US national bird so it may well represent arrogance/ego. so in 'bird talk' you seem to be saying Kali warns us of the predators ignorance and ego. and when the giant waves of the ocean of worldiness finally reach the shore, Babylon will be washed away, while Kali in Her Infinite Love will lead Her righteous tribesman to higher ground. Guest guest
Namah Shivaya. Nice play with symbols. Hummmm. To the Greeks the owl represented Wisdom. To native americans it represents death (somebody correct me if i'm off on this) To native americans, the eagle is very, very sacred. The crow is unusual in that it is communal. Probably all the birds on the island had something to say about the impending wave. Perhaps the eagle saw it first and told the others? Guest guest
Namah Sivaya, I am not sure about categorizing the Bald Eagle as the National Bird and the ego. But aside from that-here is some interesting info. Being a Bald Eagle lover-they actually migrate here in Missouri in January and you can see them all along the river. They were first revered by the Native Americans which may be in part, their adoption as the National Bird in the late 1700s. Initially the National Bird for the U.S. was going to be a Wild Turkey. But here is an interesting fact from wikipedia: The Bald Eagle is a sacred bird in some North American cultures and its feathers, like those of the Golden Eagle, are central to many religious and spiritual customs amongst Native Americans. Some Native Americans revere eagles as sacred religious objects, including the feathers and other parts and are often compared to the Bible and crucifix (AP 2004). Also a Native American trible chief presented Amma with an eagle feather as a gesture of respect. They are incredible birds. They do not like to be captive, thriving best in being free.
