Guest guest
Namah Sivaya, Well I have some very happy news to report! I believe fall of 2005 or so, Amma told me to look for a new job and She would send Her grace. I was a little lost on what to even apply for. So I began applying for jobs within our school district, outside of it and then just about anywhere. After many interviews, I felt I " had " the job. Surely this one was the right one! It sounded so good. Alas, after several of these interviews, I began to get discouraged. I began to think, maybe I needed to get another degree to get a job. After talking with Swamiji, he said only do EXACTLY what Amma tells you to do. So I began anew with a stronger sense of purpose. I have to say, I even began to think that perhaps it was not about ever getting a new job but instead simply surrending. I thought of stories where devotees have followed their gurus and doing what they were told for decades. I considered this might also be my story. Amma was very generous with me! I landed a new job after I had my resume posted on Monster.com. A recruiter contacted me and almost immediately I thought, " This is Amma! " I kept trying to keep from getting excited but I could barely contain myself! I felt she sent the recruiter to me. The ease of obtaining this position was nothing short of amazing. I had not ever had such an easy testing, interviews- they were wearing jeans and laughing with me! And it is with a major corporation that is providing the best benefits, pay and bridging previous retirement benefits as well from working with another division. Amma has surely graced me. In light of this, despite my incredible happiness at my good fortune, I try to remain equanimous as I realize things can change on a dime in our lives. It's hard not to jump onto life's roller coaster. So I am enjoying my new stroke of luck. I thank all of you who helped me along the way to see Amma these past few years. Now I hope to give back as so much has been given to me. In Amma's loving grace, Adriane
