I will help you. I will turn into warmth and effulgence, I will be the Mother I am and let you draw from My body and rise, and rise.” ~~~ St Thomas Aquinas Page 143, Love Poems from God: Twelve Sacred Voices from the East and West. There are wars where no one marches with a flag, though that does not keep casualties from mounting. Our hearts irrigate this earth. We are fields before each other. How can we live in harmony? First we need to know We are all madly in love with the same God. ~~~ St Thomas Aquinas Page 129, Love Poems from God: Twelve Sacred Voices from the East and West. Daniel Ladinsky, Penguin Compass. Guest guest
This brings a smile to my heart. Thank you for sharing them with others. It is amazing and encourageing to read the words of various saints and mystics from many traditions... They are truly Lovers....many of the saints especially from the Western tradition, who were usually nuns, monks or priets....are very passionate about God and Love....and even a little racy in some areas....as they did not separate Love it was celebrated in all of its forms, so they appreciated let's say " romantic love " or they felt aspects of romantic love through their devotion to God. The sufis, and other Eastern Lovers of God, are well, downright passionate!!!! If I get the courage, I may share some of these others gems as well, we will see. --- Mary Ellen Robinson <mare3 wrote: > Dear Stacee, > I just wanted to thank you for posting these > prayers.
