Guest guest
right, this is true Sweta, in fact, any group could be considered a " cult " by outsiders looking in at something they are not a part of. Are Harry Potter fans a cult? How about Google employees? Are Pentacostal Christians a cult? Unitarians? Are democrats or republicans cultists? How about avid golfers? How about annoying born again therapy patients who try to convert everyone else to do talk therapy? Are the U.S. Marines one big mind control cult? The bottom line is that labeling another group a " cult " has become the ultimate way to insult and do name calling. Your group has " koodies " Ammachi , Sweta Mitzel <swetabc wrote: > > If Amma weren't the real deal, which I'm convinced of by my own first hand experiences, then I can see how Amma's followers could appear to be in a cult. Many Christians consider Amma's devotees cultists, but wouldn't we also think of Christ's followers during his lifetime as being in a cult? In the end they were even willing to die for him & the princples for which he stood, left families, work, etc ... > > Devotees who experience Amma's omnipresence are easy to find, as are those who've had physical, emotional & spiritual healings. Some of your post seemed to on an intellectual level, while devotees' experiences are often on the heart level. > > I know someone who saw Amma, just to see what was the big deal. This person had a profound experience, which points to siddhis on the part of Amma, (or he was delusional!) I've known this person long & well enough to seriously doubt any delusions on the part of this cynical person. Despite his evidence that Amma isn't just a normal person, but a divine personage, he closed the door on Amma within a few days. Others have much subtler encounters with Amma, but they are open & ready. > > Sweta > > > > > > Need a vacation?
