Guest guest
This is from an advaita teacher that I respect: There is " nothing we can do " in order to be what we Truly are because we already are That; But there is something we need to discover in order to stop being what we are not. ~~~~ my 2cents: This discovery does take effort and God's Grace and is a journey that is different for each spiritual seeker. Amma is here to tell us what the goal is: " Awaken Children " And to help those who want Her help. If you are interested in this spiritual goal of Awakening, you are free to chose your path, your teacher(s), or no teachers. Putting teachers down, Putting different paths down, Putting other seekers down, And putting Amma down will not help you at all to Awaken from thinking that you are a separate self. You are the " Supreme Self " ~ Amma And everything, everyone else is within You. But this has to be fully Self-Realized So that there is full Awareness of this. There is a spiritual principle which says: Find out who you truly are first and then everything else will be clear. Don't look for who you are outside yourself. For me, Amma is constantly helping me to look within In many different ways. There is another spiritual principle which says: The world appears to you according to your beliefs. Or, the world is a projection of your mind. Find out what the nature of the mind really is Via " witnessing-observing without judgments " And you will see what is separating you from your Self. There are a lot of other spiritual teachers that I respect besides Amma. What is the difference between them and Amma? For me, according to my belief, Amma was fully Awakened In some previous life-time and decided to come back To help us out of compassion. Others teachers who have Awakened in this current life-time Have obviously have done their homework in previous lifetimes And were very close to Awakening.. There is nothing but God. And we are all That. But, the manifested roles that we play are all different. The ocean is one. The waves which think they are separate from the ocean and from each other are dreaming ( and arguing in the dream ). The waves which are Aware of Oneness with the ocean are Awake ( and Peaceful and Happy! ). Words are not the Reality. But, they can be pointers to Reality. Or, they can be a source for more argumentation If that is your choice. Better, to ask: " Who Am I? " and Be Quiet. And do your spiritual practices whatever they are. And maybe try " Serving the poor is our duty to God " ~ Amma Amma Bless, amarnath Ammachi , " n2amma " <a1driane wrote: > > How many of us truly act " God Like " ? Guest guest
This was so beautiful!!!! It is truly amazing when we know that Amma chose to come back and was always aware-that there is no division between life and death. And Her compassion to return again and again to uplift humanity makes my heart expand with so much gratitude. Who could be so merciful, so compassionate, so selfless? We are so blessed.
