Guest guest
What is obvious around Amma is that she has two sides to her Compassion: Love and Discipline. Amma, (universal or in the body) is always pure compassion, but because some of us are so stuck in our bad behaviors, we need discipline. This takes many forms, but it is inevitable. that is the entire reason for the manifestation of Kali: recalcitrant egos who cannot open or be receptive to spacious intuitive awareness..out of mercy Kali assumes her ferocious form. The genuis of Indian thought to represent in form the universal, subtle and undeniable laws of nature (karma). When folks cannot see and understand the heart breaking example that Amma is setting for all of us, the perfect example of devoting oneself entirely for others, basically a slow crucification, they are emotionally shut down to say the least. Without a sense of boundaries and discipline things get shaggy and chaotic. Its my feeling that some posters here are not receptively dialouging or listening, are conceptually stuck and inflexible, and are completely oblivious to well meaning attempts to explain and be loving. Being compassionate or explaining the universal insights of jnani, bhakti or intuitive insights only invites their condescending scorn. They cannot receive the gift that Amma is so generously giving, because for them to accept it would shatter their entire ego construct, something they are not yet ripe for. They need to get kicked around by life just a bit more, unfortunately. In the meantime, I think the e satsang needs some boundaries, and these guys should be encouraged to post elsewhere. That way, people who need information or want to share insights can do so in peace. personally, I wanted to share some nice moments and insights from this summer, but will not do so, because of the denegrating mood that exists here.
