Guest guest
Enter your vote today! A new poll has been created for the Ammachi group: The Westerners in Amma's ashram are rude, callous, arrogant and have no spiritual inclination. o Yes, I totally agree o No, I don't. To vote, please visit the following web page: Ammachi/surveys?id=2650993 Note: Please do not reply to this message. Poll votes are not collected via email. To vote, you must go to the web site listed above. Thanks!
Guest guest
I have not been to the Ashram and so cannot vote on this...and I would think it unfortunate if this were true...but I also cannot see any merit from a poll such as this. So what if it were true...how does this information benefit anyone? And, if it were not true, could this poll be damaging and hurtful to others? Besides, to assume that there would be no exceptions or that this could even be an Absolute Truth is essentially incorrect. So, even if I had been to the Ashram and even if I agreed with the statement, I would think it wise to refrain from this unhelpful and potentially hurtful poll. So if you think this is a stupid, irrelevant question, I have absolutely no idea who put it online or what were the motivations for asking such a question. I can't truthfully agree or disagree, since I've never been to Amritapuri, or San Ramon for that matter. Keval ______________________________\ ____ Looking for last minute shopping deals? Guest guest
I comprehend how you are feeling about the poll. Unless it is absolutely necessary the starter of the poll would not have put it there. Well, let us not be an ostrich about the truth. Truth, no doubt, but it cannot be discounted because it does. It, sure, is unfortunate that the Westerners in the ashram are, indeed, rude and callous. This comes from one who has been there. And what I assert here should not be taken as a lone gripe. Check with anyone who has, as recent as, yesterday, been to the ashram, and you would be flummoxed by the hurtful home truth. Why don't you see any merit in the poll? Don't polls serve two purposes: to elicit the truth and to educate everyone? Well, if the assertion is true, then, the visitors to the ashram are warned of what they have in store for them there. And there would not be unprepared to face the truth, in a place where they have been to seek the Truth. Guest guest
who determines THE truth? Oh well, then, it should serve your interest to see what the Gita says in Chap 16:24, " ...let the scripture be the authority in determining what ought to be done and what ought not to be done. Having known what is said in the ordinance of the scriptures, though shouldst act here in this world. " You may also like to read, " The Search for Truth " (http://www.dlshq.org/messages/truth.htm), where 'Truth' is explained. Guest guest
This person obviously is just trolling. If you check his ID no details are provided - anyone is free to have a discussion but once you start characterizing people on based up on race, religion, national origin etc. - its not welcome. So please ignore, hopefully the moderator has enough sense to turn this person off. I've deleted this poll, along with another one posted by the same person [The Amma's ashram (in Vallikaavu), in its initial stages, did extremely well. Over the years, things have changed so much that it has today become a commercial enterprise. Do you agree?] but that won't stop the troll du jour from posting another message or poll designed to grind his personal axe. Do not feed the trolls. Now on to watching Super Bowl XLII Keval ______________________________\ ____ Never miss a thing. Guest guest
You must, surely, be in league with those who are the subject of the poll! By deleting polls and posts would you be able to delete the abiding Truths in them? Unless you can show me and (of course) everyone (here) that I have something personal about the whole thing, your act would be put down as utterly puerile at best, and demoniacal at worst. Even the anesthetic injection before the tooth extraction hurts --- would one, therefore, live with the decay and pain!? Guest guest
Curious - g461 - does a poll reveal the Truth ? If so, life would be so easy - poll everything and live life based on the results.
