Guest guest
Dear Rich, This is horrible beyond imagining, but it isn't the first time. Many years ago, a company producing baby formula was, at first giving and then selling, infant formula. Since it was then being mixed with bad water, many children died. I don't remember the name of the group that headed up a national outcry about this, but there was one. Is there no group, such as Amnesty International, or The Task Force for Child Survival (part of The Carter Center at Emory University) that could take this on. As the parts of the article you quoted makes clear, for many it is too late. But there is the fall-out ~ wives and children left with no livelihood, children left with no parents. Is there anything Amma, through one of Her many projects, can do. First there must be awareness, so no one else buys these tainted seeds. Then there must be help for those affected. Oh, this made my heart bleed. If I were still capable of organizing and working, I'd try to do something myself to organize a response. But who can we possibly support? Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The first step in any situation like this is always awareness and whatever minimal needs the people may have (like food). Surely there is someone.
