requires of them

For all of Amma's satsangs all over the world

For all those involved with Circle of Love and Circle of Love Inside,

whether as a recipient or a sevite

For all those who struggle to afford a home

For all those who struggle to afford food

For the healing of the heart of humanity

For all those affected by war and violence

For all those affected by natural disasters

For those who govern, and for those involved in electoral processes

For all those on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota

For healing and compassionate love for Nature

For Mother Earth and all the beings She sustains

Let us join Amma's prayers:

" Let us pray together, " O Paramatman, let there be no wars, violence

or natural disasters this year. Let there be no death due to

starvation or lack of medical care. Let there be no children who are

unable to continue their studies due to poverty. Let the music of

peace and harmony be heard everywhere. "

" Everyone in the world should be able to sleep without fear, at least

for one night. Everyone should be able to eat to his or her fill, at

least for one day. There should be at least one day when hospitals see

no one admitted due to violence. By doing selfless service for at

least one day, everyone--from little children to the very

elderly--should help raise money for the poor and needy... even if by

making toys. It is Amma's prayer that at least this small dream be

realised. "

" Amma still sees dark clouds enveloping the world. Only the cool

breeze of sincere and innocent prayers can lift these clouds and turn

them into a shower of Divine Grace. "

Various prayer options suggested by group members:

* to chant Aum Amriteswaryai Namah (a mala or as many or as

few as is comfortable)

*to chant your own mantra, given by Amma, or some other mantra you

feel especially drawn to

* to chant the Gayatri mantra:

om bhur bhuvah svah

tat savitur varenyam

bhargo devasya dhimahi

dhiyo yo nah prachodayat

* to chant the 108 Names of Amma

* to chant the Lalita Sahasranama

* to chant the Mahamrtunjaya Mantra:

om tryambakam yajamahe sugandhim pushtivarddhanam

urruvarukamiva bandhanan mrtyor mukshi ymamrtat

* to chant Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu (at least three times, or a

mala)

* to pray in any other way that suits you

Some devotees may feel moved to intensify their prayers, when a strong

need is felt, by observing a vow such as fasting or silence for part

or all of a day. It is said that this conserves and builds spiritual

energy. Please do what feels right and is feasible for your

particular situation.
