Guest guest
For Ramana Maharshi fans, there is also the Ramana Mandiram, the house where Ramana obtained his realization. The address is 21, Chokkappa Naicker Street, and it is very near the South Tower of the Meenakshi Temple. Usually a quiet and peaceful place and they will let you wander around the house and even meditate in the room where Ramana had his death experience. Also Tiruchulli near Madurai has the house where Ramana was born - again visitors are welcomed. The Ghandi Museum is also worth a visit, but be forewarned about a somewhat gamy display of the dhoti Ghandhi was wearing when he was assassinated. > > wow! Gotta hit this place if (or when?) I visit Tamil Nadu. (duhhhh! did you think the " TN " in the subject line was Tennessee?) Can you imagine the Smithsonian displaying the suit JFK was wearing when he was assassinated? Of course not.. the CIA had that particular piece of evidence destroyed because a bullet hole in the jacket would prove the fatal shot was an entry wound fired from the Grassy Knoll! > > Keval > (imho, the Warren Commission report belongs in the fiction section of the library!) >
