to the group about mini miracle

Dear devotees ~ I wish to share something with you ... perhaps a bit of a

mini " miracle, " or a " Yes! " from Amma. I have been striving to do spiritual

practice every day in the morning because I wake up so early (4:30 - 5:00

am), and it is a time when it is very silent here, and I can be alone.

Recently, I have added meditation to the other practices I do. In addition, in

another group I belong to a suggestion was made to introduce mantra as often

as possible throughout the day.

 

A number of members who wanted to participate followed the suggestion of

the person who gave the idea: we all wrote in and listed which of our daily

activities we could add mantra to. All the lists had similar and also

surprisingly different tasks. The place where I have been most successful in

remembering to do this is during my routine morning activities (after my

spiritual practice): making the coffee, feeding the dog, tidying up in the

kitchen, getting my daily supply of grapes ready. (Grapes are one of the staples

of my diet, but they have to be room temperature, so I have to take them

out in the morning.)

 

This morning, I was reading from " Awaken Children, " Vol. 1, and when I got

to the end of the " story, " I could hardly believe what Amma was quoted as

saying: " Repeat your mantra while doing each action. Practice meditation for

some time every day. " This was like a lightening bolt, since only recently

have these been introduced into my practice. I cherish that Mother said

this and that it was included in the book. Jai Ma!
