Guest guest
Dear visvanathan ~ your post was very heartening. I want to take a moment to let Vaisnavi know that, though mine are in a different area, I am challenged every day. I have several chronic illnesses. Fibromyalgia, which I have had for nearly 30 years, is an illness that causes pain throughout the body. Even though I have medication for the pain, I am never without pain, and over the years it has continued to worsen. When I have written of this in the digest, I have met with only compassion, and the group has helped me through some very bad times. I know that, by writing of this now, I open myself up for attack. I have never expected Amma to cure me, or even to lessen my pain, but only to bear it with equanimity, without complaint (which I don't always achieve), and knowing it is part of my journey to Amma. I know there is only one person here who has repeatedly tried to set Vaisnavi straight, but it has been disturbing to me, which is why I write now. Know you are not alone Vaisnavi, and I know that you understand by now that the group, by and large, supports you in your struggles.
