Guest guest
Dear Max ~ you are so right about putting Amma first. I think I responded to most of the more difficult issues in my response to Pranada, so I won't repeat myself. But I thank you for sharing your own difficulties. My desire is to expand my practice a little more each day when I can. Maybe this means adding something (like the 1,000 Names, which seems really overwhelming to me) or adding more reading of sacred texts. Right now I read one article from " Immortal Bliss " after my a rchana. (I do have the 1,000 Names CD, so the next task I have set for myself is to listen to it while following in the archana book. I'm sure that will help lessen the intimidation factor. Thanks so much ~ Linda Max wrote: I think you are so right about not getting stuck on the time. Better to meditate late than not at all. As someone with a physical condition that creates extreme problems with not enough sleep (and i suspect Linda may have something like this too) i have started as late as 11 am. Continuity and quality of practice, so much more important. And yes, chanting out loud does really help concentration and going deep. I can't always do it, situationally, all the time, and those times are opportunities to deepen Manasa Puja practice, but i'd ask the same questions as you have around consideration for a partner. I'd guess that would be more of an issue at 5am if the living space is small, and less if there are other rooms, or later in the day. But whatever is the case, putting Goddess first is the sadhana.
