We will be using the book The Timeless Path by Swami Ramakrishnannda Puri. It is a powerful, inspirational book about the abc's of a spiritual practice. When I (Jovanna) was in India this August I talked with Swami Ramakrishna about wanting to start a study group using his new book and he told me that a number of different people in different cities have told him they are already doing this. Book group location: Green Lake Library (this is on the North end of Green Lake) 7364 E Green Lake Dr N Seattle, WA 98115-5352 We will gather downstairs in the meeting room. You can enter from inside the library or by the side door. Get directions Meeting Dates: October 26th Monday 5:45-7:45 November 9th Monday 5:45-7:45 December 14th Monday 5:45-7:45 For the first meeting on October 26th: We will be discussing Chapter One at our first meeting. If possible, please read the chapter ahead of time. We invite you to bring any insights, questions or favorite passages you would like to share. However, if you don't have the book in time for our first meeting, you are still invited to come and join in the discussions anyway. We'd love to have you there! Good things to bring: a notebook and the book The Timeless Path. Logistics: Parking-The library has a parking lot, or you can park on the street. Food/Drinks- It is fine to bring covered drinks (non-alcoholic) or something to eat if you need to bring your dinner. Kids- Sorry, this is an adults only event. Times- Please arrive by 5:45 to help us start on time. If you do arrive late or need to leave early please enter and/or leave quietly. Before & after event meeting location: We have picked a convenient coffee house nearby for those who want to meet other devotees early, or continue their discussions after the library is closed. This is a great way to get to know others connected to Amma. Best way to spot another devotee? Put your book out on your table and look around!
