Guest guest
Dear bluepearlight ~ I feel that temba has made it clear all along that this is a charity that Amma has personally blessed for him to take on, but that it does not have the support of the larger Amma organization. Since this is supposedly an Amma list in comparison to the freespeechzone, if you open the door to one person's efforts you should open it to others and then when will it end? Or is ok to ask for donations simply by majority approval? I already know some little minded people will see this as an attack against Temba, so be it. New people perusing the list may confuse it as part of Amma's activities with so much attention being given it.
Guest guest
Multiple postings is another matter. I'm talking about 'visitors' and newer people who are just joining. I'm sure the org might take on the service in asking for items and services to be donated, but they'd never send any actual money that way because of the cost of living in the US versus India where it could do more. Just like people on this list call Dayamrita " Swamiji " , occasionally you find a newer devotee who thinks that D is actually sannayas which he isn't. Group delusion leads to other's delusion, just part of rapport. Y'all take bad karma in misleading others everytime it happens. Guest guest
Got it, 'majority rules' on this list. Go with your feelings! You're clearly forgetting things that Amma blesses doesn't always work out. Back when they were preparing to offer downloads of music, Burnlounge.com had already been forced by the gov't to change their way of doing business but it still wasn't enough to get in compliance with laws and ethics and they went out of business. Amma still 'approved' the use of MA Center using Burnlounge.com before it's eventually demise. Keep making me the bad guy and you keep showing the world the way things actually are, thank you. Compassion is from the heart, but my mind knows you're wrong to make blanket negative judgements about American Indian people living on reservations. I admire dedication and service to others, and that is what i see happening in this work for Pine Ridge. My mind recognizes that it is being done with eyes wide open, as when Temba warns not to give to the tribal structure but directly. Spiritually, this is dharmic action to alleviate the colossal harms Americans have committed against Indian people. And that is " here, " is local, is karma yoga. I hope others will contribute, with all the people on this list, and all the things they spend money on, we only need to make up $40 or so to buy that one order of propane. >As devotees, you fail to contemplate the opposite of your feelings >(ie, What if I " M WRONG?) And yourself? You are making lots of assumptions and have quite convinced yourself of all your judgments. But it leaves you sour. I don't claim to know the truth about everything, including Amma's mission and the way the org is structured (why are all the most senior swamis men?), but i recognize fragrance, and the innumerable positive results that this one fishergirl has manifested. Ishvara pranidhana: dedication to the highest, the goodness, the divine. Don't fool yourself into thinking that carping at others' efforts falls into that category. You don't have to be a devotee of Amma to recognize this teaching, it runs through all the words of the great sages. Max
Guest guest
sadly so beloved sister, the propane only last so long.the 120 is the amount that it will take for them to deliver one order ,but i will take more to get them through the winter. we are looking into natural heating alternatives for the future, but for now we have to deal with the expensive propane company's.we do not have much of a choice do to the people facing possible hypothermia . Guest guest
You're clueless Max. It's raising someone on your shoulders that blinds you and the others around you. Temba and others shouldn't let their good Karma fool them. I've met too many who think they have strong faith, devotion, selflessness just because of their good karma letting them be a total screwoff or screwup and nothing bad happens as a result.
