Guest guest
Why does Brahmaji have only 1 temple in India? I know the mythological reason(he was cursed by Shiv), but there must be another hidden, subtle meaning behind this. Does anyone know? Guest guest
You are right, our scriptures dont mention much about this, but we can make an educated guess based on our general knowlegde: Brahmaji represents the creative force. He himself(like all other Devas) creates with his mind, his 3rd eye. But we dont have that power- humans & other such beings create with sex. Thats why Brahmaji is worshipped by Rakshas so they can better enjoy sex, & create more Rakshas like themselves. Proably sometime in the past humans also did this- worshipped Brahmaji for better sexual powers. With these powers you can raise Kundalni to lower 2 chakras & get Siddhis associated with them. When this became too common, Shivji got angry & cursed anyone who worshipped Brahma- as Shivji is the ultimate Guru of Tantra, & this is a misuse of Tantra. (Using Tantra for normal enjoyment & getting Siddhis is what Neo-Tantrics, a Western movement also do. But they do so at their own risk, as they face wrath of Shiv himself if they misuse these powers). Note that this applies only to normal people- people whose Kundalni has reached Agya chakra(3rd eye)can worship Brahmaji. They then get powers to create anything. For example, Rishi Vishwamitr created a whole Universe just by thinking about it. Then just by thinking, he created millions of souls to live in that Universe. This is the real use of Brahmajis powers.
Guest guest
For Vedic rites, Brahma is the same as Ganesh. This has been shown by Dr R L Kashyaps translation/commentary of the Vedas, where he translates a verse which goes something like: " In the assembly of Gods, Brahma is the Master(pati) of the assembly of Devas(Gan). He is Ganapati " . Ganapati is another name for Ganesh. Even in Tantra, the God of Muladhar is given either as Brahma or Ganesh, showing these 2 be the same. Brahma & Ganesh are both Wisdom Gods. In fact, as I mentioned some time ago, Brahma is actually Brahmaspati(Brahma + Brihaspati). Brishaspati, or Jupiter, is Guru of the Gods, the same role Brahmaspati had in the Vedas. Ganpati is also always the 1st God to be worshipped, as he is considered the most wise. Brahma, Brishaspti & Ganesh are the same God, a fact that has been lost in Hinduism dark ages.
