yes sir, there are not many temples of saraswati. In vaishno devi

temple (jammu), pindis of Mahalaxmi, Mahasarswati and Mahakali are

worshipped.

In Kalli muthh (Uttranchal) too mahasarswati is worshipped with

Mahakali.

Although the saraswati has not many temple, she is still worshipped

by brahmins, singers and dancers...even in our school, the main

prayer was for saraswati.

I guess, brahmin kept saraswati away from public, hence did not

encourage any temples for her. Saraswati gives pure Gyan and not

money. There is a famous saying too, if you invite saraswati to

your home laxmi will go away. Laxmi also cursed bhrahmins (Bhrigu)

that she will not come to brahmins house...then saraswati promised

bhrigu that she will always remain with them

May be since Kaliyuga's main force is Laxmi, saraswati is not

worshipped.

May be other sadhakas have more views on this

Most people only worship Gods from whom they can get something-

Luxmi/Vishnu for wealth, Ram for smooth life, Durga/Kali to destroy

bad karma etc. Sarawati gives pure Gyan, & nobody wants that!

Which is quiet surprising, as Indians are very compeititive people,

esp in education, so they should worship Saraswati before exams,

applying for jobs etc, but Ive never heard of anyone doing it.

Mind you, Saraswati is usually worshipped in her form as Gayatri.

Gayatri mantra is the main mantra of many Hindus. People who do

Gayatri Mantra usually have a small Mandir at home, & are slightly

more spiritual than normal people, so dont goto temple asking for

money or wife, but prefer to do private Sadhna. Maybe thats why there

is no temple.

Om Namah Shivaya.

Yes even though there are not many temples for Saraswathi, here down

south

of India, Tamilnadu we celebrate a festival during september/october

which is called Aayudha Pooja & Saraswathi Pooja ( this is the same

time during which dasara is celebrated in Karnataka and durga pooja

in

bengal ).

During this 3 days of celebration the second day is dedicated to

worship saraswathi. children at home submit their books, pencils,

pens

to Saraswathi maa's feet and fasting is observed on this day and

prayers are offered for Gyan. Even in factories/offices all the

account books and important files are placed in the feet of maa

saraswathi and worshiped. Pooja ends the next day and on this day

children take back the books and pencils and read before Saraswathi,

and the office/factories restart their normal works offering prayer

the next day. This day is called Vijaya Dhasami and on this auspicious

day the kids are admitted in schools ( even though its almost half

way through in acedamic year ).

Similarly if you visit any hindu house here, inspite of Ista Devatha,

the normal practise you can see is a photo of 5 gods together, the

center being Ganesha, on the left Lakshmi, on the right SARASWATHI,

on

the extreme left Subramanya/muruga, on the extreme right

Vishnu/venkateshwara. You could see this photo for worship in almost

every hindu home/offices., symbolising health wealth knowledge and

power.

Shivaya Namah Aum.

Thiruchitrambalam.

Senthil.

Brahma also does not get worshipped in any temple? She was not cursed

by anyone. (there is only one temple in Basara for Lady Saraswathi)
