Dear God seekers.

Aayudha poojais done during Dussehra .Dussehra is celebrated on three to nine

days. The three daysare 1)Durgaashtami 2)Maharnavami and 3)Vijayadashami.

Almost all non vegetarian Hindu households sacrifice animals on Dussehra and

that can`t be a form of Saraswathi worship

Aayudha pooja means weaponworship. Different people get benefit(wealth) by

using different weapons . Soldiers from arms, farmers from ploughs, factory

workers from hammers and other machinery and of course students from books and

pens.

So essentially it`s a Lakshmi worship.

None can admit students in schools on Dussehra as it`s a holiday even for

Christian schools

Pictures containing Goddess Saraswathi do exist but not at the prayer room of

a house.

Yes Ayudha puja is done on Ashtami offering prayers to all weapons,

tools, machineries,ploughs.........

The next day Navami is what i said as saraswathi pooja day. Strictly

Saraswathi ( alone ) photo is kept in the pooja room and the books of

children are submitted to her feet and prayed. for atleast to my

knowledge 30 years we have been doing this at our home and almost in

all homes in our city. This saraswathi pooja ends the next day on

Vijaya dhasami ( it not saraswathi pooja day ).Vijaya Dhasami is

considered very auspisious to begin acedamic career. Many schools

calls for admission on this day specially.HINDU schools. it is a

holiday on vijayadhasami, but for new admissions they enroll on this

auspisious day and just get started.

We worship Saraswathi ( along with Ganesh, Luxmi, Vishnu &

Subramanya) as said in my earlier post in pooja room with her

picture.

Namaste all. I suggest the interested devotees to read 'Brahma

Vaivarta Purana- Prakriti Khanda' to learn more about various

Goddesses and Their divine origin, expansions and exploits.

 

We will come to the sublime conclusion of Their Oneness.

 

Here is an excerpt posted before while discussing Radha Tattva:

 

In Padma Purana, Srimati Radharani is glorified

through these Sanskrit prayers-

 

devi kRSNa mayi proktA rAdhikA para devatA

sarva lakSmI svarUpA sA kRSNAhlAda svarUpiNI,

 

tataH sA procyate viprahlAdinIti manISibhiH

tatkalA koti kotyAnzA durgAdyas triguNAtmikAH,

 

sAtu sAkSAn mahAlakSmIH kRSNo nArAyaNaH prabhuH

nai tayor vidyate bhedaH svalpo 'pi muni sattama,

Also Lord KRISHNA Himself says to RADHA RANI

in B.V.P. (Krishna Janma Khanda),

 

yathA tvaM rAdhikA devI goloke gokule tathA

vaikuNTeca mahA lakShmIr bhavatI ca sarasvatI

 

bhavatI martyalakSmIzca kSIroda sayina priyA

dharma putra vadhUstvaM ca sAntir lakSmI svarUpiNi

 

kapilasya priyA kAntA bhArate bhAratI satI

dvArAvatyAM mahAlakSmIr bhavatI rukmiNI satI

 

tvaM sIta mithilayAM ca tvacchAyA draupadi satI

rAvaNena hRtA tvaM ca tvaM ca rAmasya kaminI "

 

O Radhe! Just as You are My beloved Soul of Goloka

and the Queen of Gokula, in the same way You manifest

as Maha Lakshmi and Sarasvati in Vaikuntha,

 

and also as Martya-lakshmi, the consort of Lord Vishnu.

You appear as the opulent form of Santi who is

the wife of Dharmaputra.

You alone are Bharati Sati, the consort of Kapila Deva.

 

You manifest in Dvaraka, as Mahalakshmi, Queen Rukmini and

Your Shadow Itself takes up the form of Draupadi Sati.

 

You ALONE appear in Mithila as Sita Devi and become

the Beloved of Sri Rama and are abducted by Ravana.

 

" tulasI puNya rupa ca gaGgA bhuvana pAvanI

brahma loke ca sAvitrI kalayA tvaM vasundharA

 

goloke rAdhikA tvaM ca sarva gopAlakezvarI "

 

You are Radhika, the eternal Mistress of all Gopis in Goloka.

You are also identified as the origin of Prakriti, and

as Savitri in Lord Brahma's abode.

 

You are also worshiped as the Sacred Plant Tulasi and

as ever purifying River of the three worlds, Ganga,

and in part as Mother Earth.

 

BVP further said that Saraswati yearned to remain as Beloved of Sri

Krishna in Goloka but the Lord had offered Her to His non-different

expansion Lord Narayana of Vaikuntha. In Their original Forms,

Mahalakshmi and Maha Saraswati along with Ganga devi were all divine

Consorts of the Lord Narayana.

Same desire happened to even Durga devi at Her creation, Who was

offered to Bhagavan Shankar by Lord Krishna. BVP also stated that

Queen Jambavati was Parvati devi Herself in the Dwaraka lila of Sri

Krishna.

 

So just let us pay our heartfelt respects to all Divine Consorts or to

our most favorite One, realizing Their True Oneness.
