Stage Status

Every one would love to acquire a high status.

What is status?

Status is a state, condition or situation of any one’s life which they are

currently leading.

Social status is the honor or prestige associated to one's social position in

society.

For example, professional occupations such as Doctor, Engineer, lawyer,

accountant etc gives a person, status in the society.

But among the doctors also some of the doctors will have a higher status when

compared with others because of some other associations or organizations or

affiliations they are attached with.

For instance, the driver of the president or prime minister enjoys a better

status than the driver of a Chief engineer or of senior executive of any

government organization.

Political leaders in some countries have a very high social status in general,

but not so in all countries.

Actors, players enjoy a very high status in most parts of the world.

In India, based on the caste system, Brahmins claims a higher status when

comparing them with people belongs to other caste.

A high school teacher might enjoy a high status among the students community,

because teaching is considered as a noble profession. But because of the less

salary structure attached with this profession, they may not enjoy a higher

status economically.

One who is involved in smuggling may not have a high social position even

though they may earn a good income.

In the male dominated society, males enjoy the higher status and hence freedom

and economical background in general, when compared with the females.

Status symbols are also associated with the status, such as, latest mobile

phone, luxurious cars, aircraft, cruise boats, large spacious villas, jewels,

expensive clothes, gadgets etc.

On the other hand the mental stage of the person has got nothing to do with

the status they enjoy in the society.

Qualities (such as courage, fearlessness etc) and virtues (such as, humility,

loyalty, simplicity, sweetness etc) and powers (such as tolerance,

decision-making etc), wisdom are associated with the mental stage of the person.

The King may not be cleverer than the ministers, but he enjoys a high status.

The King will have status only in His country, but the poets and scholars will

be very well known in all the other countries as well.

Raja Yoga enables everyone to enjoy a higher stage and status, (irrespective

of the present stage and status) at present as well as in the future, through
