Guest guest
Prasanthi Bulletin Index of earlier Bulletins Wednesday, April 4, 2007 The past few days have been quiet at Prasanthi Nilayam. The students finished their exams on March 31 as they do every year, and began their summer vacations. Many of them are still at Parthi, enjoying the daily darshans and bhajan. This morning, Bhagawan came into the Bhajan Hall a few minutes before the morning Bhajans began and spoke to a few students and teachers there, following which He went on a round of the verandah and returned to the Bhajan Hall via the stage area as Bhajans began. On Monday, He sat onstage for 20 minutes after His evening darshan round, calling up and blessing several students. Last Friday, Swami had gone on a round of the Ashram in the car after coming to Sai Kulwant Hall while the morning Bhajans went on. On returning at 9.35, He sat in the Bhajan Hall for half an hour more of Bhajans before accepting Arati and returning to Yajur Mandiram. You can see an illustrated version of happenings at Prasanthi Nilayam in the Prasanthi Diary of our monthly e-Journal Heart to Heart. The previous issue of Prasanthi Bulletin is available here. Guest guest
This is a plea/request from me to all of my brothers and sisters. I need your prayers. I broke my leg 2 years ago and what should have been a simple surgery to fix it has turned out to be a nightmare. I will go into details if anyone needs all the facts, but for now please note that I have had 5 surgeries so far and the last surgeon, here in New York, USA, made several mistakes and the bone got infected so since January I have been on IV antibiotics every 6 hours. I had surgery in Sept 2006, Jan 2007 and March 2007 (in addition to Jan 2005 and May 2005) and still need one more surgery in another few weeks once the infection clears up. I pray to Swami every waking moment for a miracle, for him to hear my plea. I am not Hindu and so do not know the rituals of the religion, but am willing to learn. Is there a mantra I can repeat to help me get over this overwhelming depression? this feeling of utter hopelessness? Whoever reads this please pray for me, for Swami to bless me with a miracle. Peace, Jennifer Bulkan.
Guest guest
Sai ram jennifer. Its always difficult to hear a member of the sai family go through a rough patch. Pls remember that swami gives us what we need and not what we want. U don't need to know any mantras/ prayers. There are only 2 protocols and that's beyond the perimeters of any organized religion.... 1) Total surrender 2) Total acceptance of his answer Have faith my sister. I will not pray that u receive a miracle (only swami sees the past, present and future), but I promise I will pray that u love swami more and more each day. With that u can triumph anything..... Guest guest
Sai Ram Jennifer I would only remind you of what Baba has said regarding our wants and needs: Baba says: " I give you what you want - so that you may want what I give you " . We must oursaelves learn to what what we need rather than be satisfied alone from what we want. Since as the last writer wrote - Baba is primarily concerned with teaching us that when we want Him - then our wants and needs are are advised to " want " - because we need Him. That is the best way to knowing that we ARE Him. Om Sai Ram.
