Why there is so much of strife and unrest in this world? Yes, it can be traced to the wilfull negligence of the human beings to follow truth and righteousness. His viscious thoughts pollute the atmosphere. The pollution caused by the thoughts, can not be wafted away by the wind. Thoughts are very subtle, subtler than the sky. Hence the hatred, the banel thoughts of the humanity all cause atmospheric pollutions which in turn trigger, Earthquakes, floods, Tsunami, Tornedos etc. Hence in the present day, most of the population in the world are afflicted by innumerable problems caused due to natural disasters, their mental aberrations and unrest, depression and insomania. All these again cause BP, Diabetis,cardiac problems, ulcer, asthma, TB etc. We are helpless and many start praying the Supreme to shower His mercy on the mankind.Swami has said once to Col Joga Rao, "You people are carried away by the outer sorrows and problems faced by many". But if you happen to know the misdeeds committed by the people in their previous lives, your reactions also will be different like Me. I am not Hard hearted. But without the retribution, people will not learn their lessons.

Actually this conversation was subsequent to the arrival of a Bengali couple with their two children. All the four were beautiful to look and they sought intervention of Col Joga Rao with Baba to enable the couple to get a personal interview with Baba. When Joga Rao requested Baba to grant them audience, Baba simply kept quiet. He told Joga Rao, the bitter truth that the children of the couple are blind. This increased the sympathy of Rao and again requested Baba to grant them interview. Baba kept quiet. The next day Saibaba has shown a newspaper article to the Colonel. In that there was a report that two children were blinded by a stepmother. Swami asked Col Rao, what will you do in this situation? Rao told Baba, I will blind the eyes of the step mother. Baba told him, God never does like that. Her children are now born blind. Don't worry about the children. They will be alright. But what to talk about the mother? At once Col Joga Rao found that a great suspense was revealed regarding life. Hence God is never revengeful. He corrects all in His own way. Sairam.
