Guest guest
Akkalkot Maharaj after leaving his mortal coil, directed several of His devotees to Shirdi Baba. Saibaba also used to indicate to his devotees, "What is therin Akkalkot? Getting the clue, some of the devotees of Akkalkot Maharaj made it a point to visit to Shirdi instead of Akkalkot. Of course all places are equally holy. But when a living embodiment of God so directs, who will disobey his word? Once "Padukas' (silver foot prints) of Saibaba was made and Shri Upasani Maharaj, who was consulted before it was made, suggested certain improvements in the design of Padukas and he has included, lotus, man, conch and wheel of Vishnu(Chakra) etc and the Padukas were made likewise. On a Vaisaka Purnima day, the Padukas were taken in procession after Baba blessed it saying "This is Lord's holy feet. Revere it. And it was thus consecrated and installed and to day all the pilgrims who visit Shirdi make it a point to visit the 'Gurusthan' where the Padukas are installed. Sairam.
