Guest guest
Equal mindedness is an essential pre requisite in the Atmic path. How to develop equal mindedness? We have seen a scale of balance. If nothing is put on both the pans of the balance, the needle at the top will remain static. If on the otherhand if you place some weight on one pan and keep the other pan empty, then the pan with weight will go down tilting the top needle to that side. Otherwise you have to keep equal weight on the other pan also to balance. Best way is to keep both the pans empty. The idea is neither be attracted nor be distracted by the seeming duality of the world. Keep your mind focussed on the Self without getting tilted towards the world. This is real meditation. Neither you will exult by joy nor you will feel sorrow and become sade. In Bagawat Gita, Shri Krishna mentions the above qualities as that of a "Sthitha Pragna". Hence let us strive to adopt equal mindedness in all aspects of our life. Sairam.
