Guest guest
Aham Brahmasmi (I am Brahmam or God or Self or Atma). All denotes the same. Our aim in this life should be to attain the status of Brahmam. It is not mere repeating of the above truth. Feel it inside you. No more thinking about the separate individual with a body, mind and senses. When fire engulf, we throw water on fire to quench it. As a precautionary measure, we dowse the nearby area with water. Now we can derive a great lesson from this. We all read many spiritual literatures, booklets etc. But the impact of the writing affects only those who are ready spiritualy. A dry twig or wood catch fire instantly. If it is drowsed with water, fire may not catch so easily. Wisdom or Gnana is akin to fire. Some intellect catches it immediately and the result will be instantaneous. A preceptor may expound spiritual wisdom to many. But the reaction or result it creates in each vary according to their discrimination. If we are worldly, naturally we may not derive any tangible results from such discourses. Shri Ramakrishna touched Vivekananda. Instantly the inner eye of Vivekananda opened to the awareness of supreme. He was a fit instrument. Why Vivekananda was chosen? It is the spiritual attainment. Hence we should develop 'vairagya' (dispassion) towards the worldly attainment etc and have our aim only on Truth. Sairam.
