Food for Thought

1.

Did you know that suffering begins primarily in the mind and the cause

and effects during that period are merely the projections of the same

thoughts that repetitively reside in the thinker?2.

We often make resolves to make ourselves more peaceful but in the midst

of the same resolve we often watch its gain and unknowingly return

ourselves to fears and fear’s judgments.3.

Did you ever consider that we all say that we wish to be peaceful…and

we wish to make others happy, but seldom do we realize at that very

moment that we have silently declared our present nature is to be

restless and to be selfish?

4. We all want to change yet we all want the change known to ourselves

first then to others. Most of us fail to realize that this desire

itself is the biggest obstacle to change.5.

We often read the stories of the noble souls that received the

knowledge of the Self while enduring great physical and mental

tribulations. Yet when it comes to us we wish it to be smooth…with all

our desires unhindered and with our egos completely unhampered. Little

do we realize that when all is taken away… including mind, intellect

and ego, it is then alone that knowledge remains as the Self of all

selves. 6.

We make those happy that are already happy…we make those happy that

make us happy. But how many of us make those happy that refuse to be

happy? It is when we work hard to always try to make those that refuse

to be happy…happy…it is then that we shall find the true value of

happiness that lies within us. For when we can remain happy with those

that are stubborn to receive it and we constantly try to spread that

joy…it is then that we will not wish to be happy…we will simply be

happy…in inner happiness. Think…Ponder…Derive…Strengthen…Rise…Serve…Love…And just be! Part of the book: 'Inspiring Thoughts'By Seema M.
