Jesus never expected anything in return. He was always in search of more opportunities to enlighten the greedy and miserable people about the truth of Life. They were never aware of morals. They fought with each other for few pennies. They never had any compassion for suffering. In fact, they were living a life of barbarian. Naturally money lenders swindled whatever they can from the gullible public. The temple has become a market place for the greedy vendors. None feared the scriptures nor god. The powerful priests were law unto themselves. People have no restrain. Hence anarchy was let loose. The king didn't care much for the people as long as there was fear of punishment at the hand of soldiers. People feared to voice their grievances. Such was the time when the Lord has chosen to send His son amidst the people. The courage with which Jesus preached, is the power of Truth and Love. He never cared for comforts or fame. His only task was to illumine the people. He gathered his disciples from many places. They abandoned whatever they were doing, followed Him in full faith. He told them, that they will be facing the most cruel tortures for preaching the voice of god. But all have stood by Him except one. He too underwent the most heinous tortures at the hands of His persecuters. Even when He was in the Cross, He prayed His father, to forgive them for "they know not what they were doing" Such was His compassion and glory. He ascended from the Tomb on the third day and shown Himself to many who were in disbelief. He told them that the Lord who had sent him would Himself come. But none could deciphor His mysterious parables. Only when Swami Himself has announced the truth in reply to a westerner's querry, people are trying to understand the profound truth, it contains.
