Many are enamoured by the green pastures, foreign employment offers. Swami has given few tips. People are attracted by the huge salaries, other countries offer to the job seekers. When you compare the cost of living of those countries, for food, dwelling, commuting, health care and by way of huge taxes, the journey cost from the native country, the amount you really save would be very marginal. First you must get accustomed to the available foods, the extreme climate in winters (mostly sub zero temperatures), the work culture of those countries. It may take several months to get accustomed to those culture. In their own countries, the salary offered may be far less but at the same time, the expenditure also would be comparatively less. I am not discouraging aspirants of foreign employment. This is the true picture. We have to surmount many obstacles like language, climate etc. We may go for higher education or training or research. But we have to comeback to our own countries for working so that the knowledge gained in those countries can be utilised for the welfare of our mother land. To tell the truth, India in no way is behind any other country both in educational or research fecilities. Ample opportunity is available here to pursue higher specialised education in any field. Also the employment potential is also good compared to other countries. Hence we need not venture into unknown regions for the sake of few more dollars. Sairam.
